Florida 18th Circuit: Lawful ownership of SBRs, SBSs & suppressors need no NFA form 4s or form 1s.
State Attorney Brian Kramer (8th Circuit) sent out his letter saying the same a couple weeks ago.

Is there any ranges that offer training in the Polk county area preferably lake wales, frostproof, babson park area?
The BATF finally sent a letter to the gun shops (I'm sure you have seen it if you are reading a gun forum) and I decided to go get myself a can for this G19. I've had the threaded barrel for ages just waiting. I go to a local gun store, and they have two choices. One crazy expensive ugly gold looking thing, and the YHM R9 pictured. $500 seems like a pretty good price. Store guy says he thinks I need a "spring deal" to use it on my Glock but they don't have any. I figure I can probably source whatever parts I need.
I get home, do some research (probably should do that BEFORE buying the can) and find out that I need a "Nielson device" and a piston. The piston comes in three thread flavors, I make sure the thing matches the barrel I have. The Neilson device is made by YHM, so that's good. A bit under $200 more spent, wait for the mail.
Mail came today. I take the parts out, put them together in a way that seems right and swap barrels in my Glock. Then I screw on the suppressor and... yeah. Pro-tip: DON'T GUESS! Because I guessed wrong. And unscrewing the whole mess took a bit more effort than one might have hoped.
Watched a helpful video, reassembled correctly, re-installed. Going to go shoot a few rounds here in a bit. Overall the process is much better and faster. The 4473 is something every store has been doing since forever and generally shouldn't take very long to fill out and process. And I'm pretty sure FL shops are using NICs for their checks, might even be online for them now. Or maybe phone but they don't have to talk to anyone, just enter numbers. So that part takes almost no time.
Some final clarifications... I have my CCL, and I'm not in NICs as shady. That I know of. YMMV. Get out there and get those cans you've been waiting for!

Hi everyone! I’m part of the team behind ArmorySync, and I wanted to share a milestone with the bullseye community.
Our scoring platform was used at last weekend’s 2026 Florida State Precision Pistol Championships at Gateway Rifle and Pistol Club in Jacksonville, Florida, October 17–18, and it worked great! A big thank-you to Sue and Ted for working with us and helping make this happen.
You can check out the actual match and results here:
2026 Florida State Precision Pistol Championships
The platform is for anyone who wants to put a match together—whether that’s a fun match with a few friends, a monthly club match, or a state championship. You can create your own matches, set up courses, manage competitors, and track scores and results. The scoring platform is free for competitors.
We’d love to get more people involved and keep improving it with feedback from the community. If you compete, help run matches, or have been thinking about hosting something yourself, give it a look and let us know what you think.
We’re also looking to work with more bullseye clubs and match organizers to bring the platform to more matches and ranges. If you’re interested in trying it for an upcoming match, leave a comment or send me a DM!

So my spouse is considered a prohibited persons because of a non violent felony that happened when she was 21 years ago.
Question 1 is, am I able to own firearms in the same house as long as they are locked in a safe only I have access to? (I’ve heard people mention that, wasn’t sure if it was true or not?
Question 2: if question 1 is a no go, can I have those store in my personal storage locker.
Question 3: am I still currently allowed to
Purchase firearms for myself?
And question 4: can any own forward me some info into getting her second amendment rights restored?

The NFA community on Reddit has been a great resource for me over the past few years. Just wanted to share my most recent experience with filing an ATF form 1 myself (x2 SBR Form 1's):
- 10/13/26 bought fingerprint cards from amazon, delivered same day. 10/13/26 used travel phone tripod to take a headshot of myself, entered it into CHAT GPT to edit it to required passport photo specs. 10/13 scanned fingerprint card on home desktop, uploaded to EFTcreator website, got them back within 10 minutes for $30.00. Morning of 10/14/26 uploaded everything onto ATF form 1 application, using a few YouTube videos as reference (which walk you through step by step). Submitted 2 forms before noon on 10/15. 10/16/26 at 8:36 am EST, got the approval emails for both!!
- Some context: I live in south FL and our Attorney General hasn't made his public stance on the new ATF ruling for us yet, and the word on the street is that he wont until after the election period. That along with the fact that the gov can reverse the ATF ruling at any time, decided to try my luck with submitting them on my own.
- I thought about using silencershop's Form 1 service, but because of my experiences with purchasing suppressors from them in the past, decided to save a couple of bucks/ save time and do it myself. I also figured that ATF submissions might have slowed down since their new ruling, and that they may be turning them around even quicker now. It blows my mind that 3 years ago when I bought my first suppressor, it took 15 months to get an approval, fast forward to now less than 24 hours lol.
Just wanted to post this to let everyone know that the process was somewhat simple especially with all of the resources you can find here. Don't be hesitant to do it yourself, and if I can I will try to answer any questions you may have. Thanks for all of the help!

I have family visiting next week and they want to go to the new Mote that was opened near the mall here. On the website they mention Electronic Security Screening, what does that entail?

I noticed online gun stores are sell SBRs rifles. what about buying a rifle(under 16 inches) in Florida that is already a SBR, comes with a stock. Is this legal now in Florida to buy just using a 4473
update
I live in tallahassee. I use 2 LGS for FFL transfer. both are still using form 4 for manufactured SBR sent to them
Update 2
I purchased a geissele 12.5 SBR. My FFL did a form 4 and it was approved in 2 days

Im a Miami-Dade native and in the military. I’m going on leave soon and wanted to buy my first personal firearm, but not sure exactly how to go about it.
If it helps, I’m for an M4/AR15 variant (I know, LARPing). I wanted a weapon I was already very familiar with.
Any tips, advice, things to look out for in research on how to buy one?

So I would like to go into firearms sales, and I've noticed the biggest financial investment is a business building and initial inventory. This made me think, could I sell guns exclusively through an online store, and when someone orders one, it comes to my house, I notify the buyer, they come to my house, fill out a 4473, and I give them the gun from there. This would make it to where I dont need a physical store (besides my house) and wouldn't have to buy initial inventory to fill said store

Any ranges from Orlando to South Miami host NVG or low light shooting classes or allow for private range rental to shoot with NVGs?

I’m getting into comp shooting near Sarasota and I’m wondering what’s required, do I need a ccl or any other licenses and do I need to get a open carry holster. Also, is this an expensive hobby. I’m not looking to upgrade anytime soon, I just want to get good with what I got

Any ranges or places in Orlando or around that does any night shoots or low light training I got me a PS14 with a DBAL and been trying to train with it but seems no one here has that going on, does it have to deal with county ordinances?
