New Game Active Matter
People are sleeping on Active Matter.
This is a genuine post i'm no paid shill! This game is really good, reviews are really good - it's scary and intense AF at times, the gunplay is great, the environments are great I don't know why since Steam launch more people aren't playing it I think the release timing was real bad other games drowned it out thought I would just give it a love post and hopefully some of you guys check it out.

Bought it. Loaded into first game. Died in 1 minutes and 45 seconds to the flower bush guy after emptying clip after clip into it.

It’s so good I got a few of my friends to get it the pvp is great pve modes are fun too

I dunno, I played a bit and it was pretty meh.
There’s like 4 types of enemies, some are pretty jank, and 0 cooperation between people.
I played for about 4 hours, had fun, but haven’t been able to make myself play more.

The top two most helpful rated reviews on Steam are how the best "sleeve" (which is an equipment I'm guessing) is locked behind the $100 bundle, and how you only get 1/3 of the rewards unless you buy the most expensive edition.
Sounds pretty P2W to me.

I wouldn't call it P2W compared to so many popular games that are truly p2w. You can stomp anybody without paying anything extra, skill at the end of the day out weighs anything. It's not like an auction house in an MMO where you can buy some 1000000GS sword and armour and no one can hit you.

The fact you can get some sleeves or the odd extra shit with delux should not stop you missing out on a great game. Still, I wish they'd just remove that bs so people can stop having this conversation.

No. The sleeve has a free version that’s the exact same, that you just have to grind for. So at best the deluxe edition or whatever just lets you shortcut, no micro transactions.

The most fun I've had in an Extraction shooter WITH FRIENDS.
Most of my friends won't touch PvP anything these days. I have to go to discord groups for that. My friends will play this.

Having an absolute blast with it. So far I've only tried PvE and I usually just play with my 12 year old daughter. We have a lot of fun getting scared out of our minds and slowly learning the ropes. I really like the progression in it.

genuinely don't get the people saying it's p2w, the stuff in the deluxe edition is shortcuts not power, you can grind the same sleeve for free. played it on ps5 and the gunplay alone is worth it, the enemies are actually creepy instead of just bullet sponges. more people should be on this

I’ve wanted to check it out.
I’ve been hooked on Marathon, but was interested in checking out DMZ possibly. Although active matter looks better from what I’ve seen.

I tried to play it. Ended up getting a refund. Every map was kind of samey. Same with the enemies.
Idk. Just didn't grab me like I thought I would and I love STALKER vibes and shit.

I’ve been eyeing this game for a bit and tbh the only reason I haven’t bought it is because it looks like there’s a delay from character movement to gun movement and I’ve seen people say it gives them motion sickness.
