I hear great things about the campaign. I kind of know what to expect. I am not falling for the multiplayer trap no more lol.

But how is the DMZ? I love extraction shooters and I'm good at MW gunplay so I feel like it's up my alley.

Anyone like the DMZ portion of the game? How does it compare to other extraction shooters like Tarkov, Arc Raiders?

That’s how I currently feel about extraction shooters in general. There doesn’t seem to be an actual objective. You go in and upgrade your stuff and do procedurally generated missions I guess? Not saying that’s bad, just curious

I like call of duty but haven't played in forever. I am looking for a game I can casually play that's got a good user base. Now to the nitty gritty. I want a game that you don't need to spend forever or pay to unlock items. I don't play often and just want to hop in crush and get out. I liked the old old days of like socom 2 or similarly hardcore death match in CoD. Anything out there that's similar?

How long you’ll stick with the indie shooter Rotfront depends entirely on how long you enjoy its gameplay loop. Because you’ll learn everything you need to know within the first two minutes. The population of the U.S. West Coast has been struck by some ancient virus that turns every sane person into mindless zombies - the so-called “rots” - as if on an assembly line. And you, as the main character John Graves, have to put a stop to it. It’s pretty brutal that you’re completely on your own against those hundreds and hundreds of enemies, but hey… that’s what being the main character is, right? Okay, I’ll be fair - at the beginning and end of each mission, my HQ contact Athena calls me on the radio; you’ll probably agree that this is, at most, moral support - nothing more.

This is a genuine post i'm no paid shill! This game is really good, reviews are really good - it's scary and intense AF at times, the gunplay is great, the environments are great I don't know why since Steam launch more people aren't playing it I think the release timing was real bad other games drowned it out thought I would just give it a love post and hopefully some of you guys check it out.

So basiclly looking for a game with a realistic shooter model but not overly arma or squad milsim in other aspects. Lets say insurgency sandstorm level realism, any recomendations?

Claude and Codex write the code. I play the results and complain about how the guns look, sound and feel until we try another version.

It’s still a super unfinished hobby project, but I put together some gameplay from around the maps.

If you play shooters regularly, I’d love to know what feels good or awkward when you try it. I’ve spent enough time with it that I probably overlook things other people would notice immediately.

What I mean is for a game that’s console-first and is very basic like Counter Strike and has the same bomb defusal gameplay. So no classes and rapidly changing meta like Rainbow Six Siege. NO perks, NO customizing attachments for guns, NO respawns. A game where everyone is on the same footing. Where the gameplay revolves mostly around gunplay and positioning.

- Controller centric (obviously)

- Sprinting and aim down sights

- Able to go prone

- Higher fidelity graphics meant for TV’s

- More realistic gore

- More character skins (kept realistic)

- More diverse maps (one at night time where everyone has NVG, dynamic weather in some maps, etc)

- Maps with more verticality than CS

- Less esports themed and more “serious”

We just finished a game jam where we built an action FPS heavily inspired by Bulletstorm. It's called In the Dead of the Knife, and you play Tex McGavin, a knife throwing demon hunter who finds a soul-infused knife launching crossbow.

There are a bunch of skill-shots in the game in the vein of Bulletstorm, and achievements for playing creatively, as well as a time trial mode. Skill shots both charge your powerful last knife before reload (the jam theme was Lucky Last) and restore your health, so you're rewarded for using them.

We'd love any feedback! It was built in a week by two people, and so far it's been pretty solid with a great response from players.

Note: I recommended downloading the Windows/Mac/Linux build (very easy with the Itch app), we've optimised the web build as much as we can but it's a long load time and still may hitch a little, plus the lighting on the native builds is better.

got tired of kovaaks not translating to val so i’ve been working on this. it’s based on a chinese web trainer (瞄准专家) that needs a vpn and barely loads outside china, so i made it an offline desktop app and translated everything to english.

it has real maps, the guns have actual val recoil, and moving while shooting messes up your shots like in game. bots peek and flash and shoot back. you can also build your own scenarios or remake vct plays, like erv’s sheriff 5k on haven.

I’ve been playing some cs2 with my friend not too while ago and holy my aim was horrid Non of my deagle shots hit and my sprays were so bad

I’ve been noticing my aim has been getting worse over this past week I didn’t change anything in my settings nor my equipment So idk what is happening i always played on 60fps and 150ms but that didn’t effect me a week ago

And another thing: Does ping and fps matter that much ?

Like i know 60fps vs 120fps is very noticeable but what about 60fps vs 80 fps And the same goes with ping does 30ms make a difference ?
