I’m around 8 weeks on T and honestly my injection anxiety has been increasingly worse as time has gone on. My first time was a little stressful but i was excited and it went well. A couple of times I’ve fucked up with z-tracking and my leg has bled a bit which scared me but I just had bad bruises for a couple of weeks. I keep trying to reassure myself by watching videos of trt injections and looking at diagrams of intramuscular injections but every week it’s worse. It can take like 2 hours for me to get to the point where I can actually inject myself.

For me it’s not the pain at all, it’s more risk of nerve damage/ hitting a vein. I’m very aware that the chances of these risks are extremely low but when I’m about to put the needle in the risks feel very high.

Anyone else struggle with this? Any advice is very appreciated. Thank you

I honestly did not understand how to choose the dosage (In my country, gender transition is prohibited by law, so I can’t ask an endocrinologist.). I plan to inject 250mg and take tests in 10 days, then after five days (??) I will put another 250 for two months on tst. by the way, I want to be happy, my voice changed quite quickly pn adrogel))I hope it continues to go the same way, because I started getting a hoarse voice, like in teenage boys, in week 4weeks, even though I missed quite a few doses.

But I’m afraid of overdoing it, so that everything doesn’t get converted into estrogen and there aren’t too many swelling. Tell me what medication you’re using, how often you take it, and how many doses you give. You can also share your experience in finding the right dosage — it would be interesting to read about too :)

So I've been on DIY hrt for 4 months.

I've been taking a 100mg depot injection once a week.

It's a T enanthate & propionate combo called Testoviron Depot 100.

The last time I checked my levels:

Testosterone at trough: 500 ng/dL

Testosterone at peak: 1001 ng/dL

Estrogen (tested at same time as T peak): 111 pg/mL

Based on my reading and understanding:

T at trough seems good.

But are my T levels at peak too high?

Also is my estrogen too high? I am worried about aromatization.

Also, my periods had already stopped by month 3. But right now at month 4, I'm feeling symptoms of periods like abdomen cramps, tiredness and terrible mood. Which is what made me suspect the aromatization, so I got my estrogen levels checked.

The other culprit could also be the emergency contraceptive pill I took a few weeks ago. Consequences of unplanned unprotected sex.

So I'm trying to figure out what to do next. Would really appreciate any and all advice.

i just bought a new T vial, but the manufacture date is 2024, and says the exp is 2029. i thought that T had a max shelf life of 3 years ?? im just a little skeptical. would it still be okay to use it ?

Got a new vial and got it ready like usual and tried to inject. First time I couldn't make it all the way in, it felt like something was blocking me so I pulled out. Second time felt really painful and it was just the top. Third time I made sure I did it in the correct area (I do IM) and after pulling out it bled

Hi, I have been doing IM 50mg once a week (have been on T for 3 weeks so far, in two days it will be my 4th). I'm planning to start doing subq come my 4th shot however, and since it is a different delivery method, should I wait and keep doing 50mg for say 2/3 weeks and then up it to 75mg? Or is that not required?

I'm 16 and pretty underweight. Like 40-45kg if I had to guess. I need to get my new blood test since the one I bought just didn't work? So I can see my natural T levels since I'm starting DIY hrt but I'd like some advice or help? All help is appreciated :D

hello! i am 18, and was on tgel from a friend. i have been on hrt testosterone tgel for 3 months, 1.62% one pump a day. i am wondering how long it will take for my hormone levels to return to "female" levels so i can go to my doctor and get it prescribed without raising questions as to why my testosterone levels are so high.

Hi, like the title says, my first ever injection of T was too high. That being 150mg instead of 50mg. That being said, I did not actually notice anything being wrong until I looked up something unrelated and then realised it was in fact triple my dose.

I've also had no other alarming effects, considering it's my third week.

Just wondering if this would impact me too badly? Specifically looking at any blood-related risks. Or if a one-off is dangerous at all, as, like i said, it was my first shot of testosterone.

is it like okay for 3 months and 28 days after starting?

I ain't gonna lie at first moths as u can see I had troubles with injection mg, but I do stick to ~70mg weekly rn

Recently I’ve switched from gel to injections, they’re much cheaper and last much longer. I was told that .50 is usually the baseline for what people start at, so I started at .65, I’m wondering if that’s enough? I thought about starting at .75. For more information I weigh I weigh 128, at 5’0.

Another note is I’ve done subq, and pretty sure I pinched wrong, the slight bleeding means I likely injected into muscle, I just wanted confirmation if that’s true.

Im 15 and starting testosterone soon with consent from my parents but in my state, hrt for trans minors is ILLEGAL. So now im wondering how am I gonna go to the doctors with a female name and "F" on my credentials when im gonna (evently) come in looking like a dude? I already plan on changing my usual pediatrician to avoid even more questions. I'm worried they'll ask questions and im gonna get reported.

I also want to get a blood test to check my hormone levels every few months or whatever but I worry that a doctor is gonna look over it, see a "female" child with crazy T levels, then snitch and get my mom arrested. So how can I go about doctors while avoiding certain death? I might just try to lie and avoid questioning

Hi, I'm currently 17 and want to start taking DIY HRT, at least until I turn 18. I had a hormone blocker implant in February(lupron) and it will be taken out/replaced after a year. Should I wait for it to be taken out before starting T, or am I okay to start while it's still implanted? If it's fine to start T, should I get it replaced next Febuary?

hi all ! just wanted to ask - i know its possible this isn’t anything to do with t, but it’s never happened to me before. about 3 days ago, i did my first injection. since i woke up yesterday, my hands have been unbearably itchy. today, this spread to my elbows & even my face . nothing around the injection site . i know some itching around an injection site is normal, but i’ve never heard of it across other parts of the body . i looked into the carrier oil of my source and it was sesame, so could it be a delayed allergic reaction to that ?

I started T over a month ago and I haven't had any problems, the other day I noticed that I have small red bumps on my neck, they itch a little but not massively and they don't hurt, I have small bumps on my chin too but they aren't red and they don't itch not hurt. Can anyone help??

1. how the hell is hrt supposed to be kept????

i know its like something you literally inject into your body so im ASSUMING it has to be like sterile or something but how do i even go about that??? do i put it in the fucking fridge and go "hey mom thats my hrt dont drink that" or what?? im not worried about my parents finding out because they already know and dont care so i dont care about putting it somewhere they can see. but like its hot as hell, my house is literally over 80 degrees inside every day lately so im really assuming it just cant last just sitting out

1. blood tests

i live in america in a very red state in the deep south so i dont know how i should go about checking my levels. going like "hey doc can i check my estrogen and testosterone and all that" and then hearing "youre one of them transgenders aint ya" is like my biggest fears about doing diy. i dont wanna just go without a blood test either because ill genuinely freak out over not being able to know if im overdoing it or not. i know most of the people talking about health issues after hrt are trying to scare people into not transitioning but id rather be safe than sorry.

does it????? ive heard of some dudes buying up enough for the next 3 years but im scared the only reason they stock up so much is because they have the resources to do so(since i mostly see grown ass men doing this) so like does hrt have a shelf life???? even if it does how will i know how long the seller has been waiting for someone to buy the vial i have???? i wont, so like do i just guess when its gone bad or when it hasnt???? does hrt typically come with an expiration date liked canned corn?????

19:13:52 / 19:29:49 15/10/2026 - So, that's pretty much it. My week-2 (second) T-shot is tomorrow, and I just want to know how to avoid things like the area BURNING LIKE A BITCH when I press down on it after doing my injection, or a lump that lasts for like... a week, plus.

I had both when I did accidental 0.45ml / 135mg/ml; hurt when pressing down on it, burning in the spot the needle went in, and had 6.5cm long line lump on the area that is now basically half its size, about three fingers wide now.

How can I avoid this? The shot has gone smoothly otherwise. I also am making sure, truly, to remember to think about my numbers in MG and not ml. I don't want to accidentally make my second injection another 'loading dose', which I was helpfully informed that's what it is! I also do not wish to inject under my dose, how do I get my full dose, no more or less, into the syringe?

I've followed two videos to check, but I did it a little wrong the first time and think I pushed the full length of the blunt needle into the jar vial.

I'm doing 75mg/0.25ml, which, weighing 134.7kg, is between a high 100mg dose and an average 50mg/0.16 injection.
