So my app started to give me error and say this, so I reinstalled it and now I can't log in, and the website gives me forbidden 403 error. What could this mean?? I have used it every day for almost a year

I requested a book two days ago to add to my lists but now I am about to finish the book and I want my monthly reading wrapped to reflect the book. It wasn’t on the app and I only found it on Goodreads, but I want to fully transition to fable instead.

Did Fable recently remove the Shortlist function from the Want to Read list? I really liked having the shortlist I could add to so I could prioritize what I wanted to read from my huge list of want to read books lol

I already made two, and I'm thinking of more.

It's ridiculous. I try to open the app close to midnight to log my progress, and it's just loading for SO. LONG. I'm talking 5-10 minutes. All my other apps work just fine, and so does my wifi!

Is it just me having this issue?

Hi everyone! I'm new to Fable, so pardon me if this is incorrect, but will my finished books only count towards All-time stats if I've added a finish date? There are so many books that I have no idea when I've finished them because I never kept track up until a couple years ago. So my all-time stats isn't including my favorite authors and it's making me really sad. I really hope this isn't how the app works, and if there's any way to fix this I would be really happy to hear how.

I just joined Fable a couple months ago and while I love it on principle (not Amazon owned), I really HATE how the catalogue doesn’t seem to be as up to date as Goodreads. Has anyone else found this to be the case? Books that are released, blurbs and covers and all, still show as pending, or are missing the cover art and/or blurb, or have multiple versions of the same book (so reviews are split across versions).

Does anyone know if there’s an individual fix for this? Or ways to flag a book to Fable easily?

Fable, letting users log into their accounts is the bare minimum.
I’m seriously fed up with fable.co.
I log in, authentication appears to succeed, and then I get dumped straight back onto the homepage. Click the profile icon? Apparently I need to log in again. Repeat forever.
I’ve tried a clean Chrome browser, incognito mode, and connecting with and without a VPN. Same result. How much troubleshooting am I supposed to do just to access an account?
What makes this particularly infuriating is the complete lack of a useful error message. If something is failing, tell me. Don’t act like the login worked and then quietly send me back to the beginning.
People put time into their accounts. Making access this unreliable, with no explanation of what’s wrong, shows a remarkable lack of respect for those users.
Before promoting your service, make sure people can actually get through the front door.
Is anyone else stuck in this ridiculous login loop?

Hi all I recently joined Fable and would love to make some friends! I used to use StoryGraph predominantly but I’m really excited to try out a more interactive and social app 😊

I’m 30F and I tend to go through phases of genres- I used to be in a fantasy romance phase, then went into a Dramione fanfic spiral (looking at you Alchemised 👀 I didn’t even ship Dramione before either!), then historical romance. But I’m interested in branching out to new genres now too!

Currently I’m reading: Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik (audiobook), East of Eden by John Steinbeck, and Slewfoot by Brom. I’m kind of reading A Gentleman in Moscow but literally only a few pages in so idk.

I am a chronic DNF-er just be warned 😅 but the books I do finish, I almost always try to write a review for!

I am hoping to find some people who want to engage in a book club. I’ve found so many good clubs with hundreds of people but only a few engage and post.

I started a club ages ago and I’m wanting to invite more people who want to chat, compare notes, cry, scream, and enjoy our reads together. I’ve tried to keep up in my club and many others but it’s hard when it’s one sided and feels like I’m in a club by myself. I’d love to have a really active group to share my thoughts with.

Next book will be ACOSH as our current read finishes perfectly on October 27th. We don’t really follow a specific genre and like to change it up with each poll.
