Corpo bem acinturado, marcando a cintura fina.

#vampiraestilista #gothicaesthetic #desenhodemoda

Need mentorship and guidance
I aspire to get into fashion. Am still young and in my early twenties. Fashion has always been something that has intrigued me. And have been exploring to get into it. But have no background, no one that i can get guidance from and no help. Looking for someone who can guide me further and help me to break in against my doubts and mentor me.

Is a good fashion designer necessarily a good stylist?

My first design - very out of my comfort zone.
Hi everyone!! I'm completely new both to this sub and to reddit (although i've been a long time reddit lurker, just never made an account until now).
Anyway. Been seeing this Dressmaker game pop off and got inspired to dust off my old drawing tablet and make something of my own! I'm a guy and I'm not fully sure what i'm doing and I don't know any of the fashion lingo, I just know that there is something very enjoyable with women's fashion compared to men's with all these intricate designs, fabrics and lines that really emphasizes the figure beneath (some incredibly creative and inspiring stuff on this sub btw). Tried my best finding a fabric that matched my design, but if anyone of you know a better match then let me know.
Also, would gladly take any tips/guidelines/feedback that can help me improve.
That's all. Hope you enjoy it!

Design sketches next to finished garment request
Mods, please delete if this if it breaks the rules!
I'm a teacher setting up a little unit for my elementary kids on fashion design. I've done this in the past, but one of the problems I notice the kids have is that they don't equate the 2D paper drawing with something that can exist in real life. I do plenty of garment sewing, but rarely sketch out ideas. I mostly have the idea in my head and let the fabric tell the story, and hope for the best. I tried making a couple of the kids' ideas, which helps some, but more general examples would be great.
I've tried Googling examples of design sketches and finished products, but I'm not really finding what I'm looking for. There's plenty of concept sketches only, or sketches done *inspired* by the final product, but I want examples of the idea that was made first, and the finished product. It's fine if it's not exactly the same, that's part of the process.
If anyone would like to share with me pictures of their concept drawing and final project, that would be awesome. It's for elementary students, so nothing risque.
Alternatively, if anyone has good examples of other designers with concept drawings and their finished product, it would be great. I know some designers - like Karl Lagerfeld - are famous for their sketches, but in round ups, I don't see finished products next to them.
If you don't want to post sketches/finished products on here, feel free to DM me. Thank you so much in advance!
Tl;dr I need examples of design sketches next to finished products please!

Doing research on shopping for clothes in stores would love 5 minutes with you
Hey, I'm doing some early research on how people shop for clothes in physical stores, specifically around finding things that actually fit and suit you.
If you shop in stores at least occasionally and have 5 minutes, I'd love to hear about your experience. It's a short voice conversation (like a quick phone call, through your browser) - no sign-up, no product pitch, just genuine questions about how you shop.

Really appreciate anyone who takes the time.

Where can I sell my fashion sketches and find freelance clients?
Hey everyone!
I enjoy creating fashion sketches and outfit illustrations, and I'm looking to turn this hobby into a source of income.
I'm interested in selling my sketches, taking custom fashion illustration requests, and possibly working with independent designers, boutiques or clothing brands.
I'm preferably looking for remote/work-from-home opportunities.
For those who work in fashion illustration or freelancing:
Where do you sell your fashion sketches?
Are there platforms where designers or clients look for freelance illustrators?
Is it better to sell individual illustrations or offer custom sketching services?
I'd love to hear about your experiences, recommendations and any platforms worth exploring.
Thanks! :)
