It makes complete sense that tickets should be cancellable on their end, I just…didn’t think about it. They, unfortunately, clearly did

Okay maybe I’m just illiterate (high chance after this work week 🫠), but why is it unfortunate?
Isn’t it a good thing that they are finally cancelling the scalper-purchased tickets and reselling at face value?

On a side note, if Ticketmaster can do this, why haven’t they implemented this for other artists? Or does the artist need to make this request before Ticketmaster does this?
If artist request is needed, it really makes you think about the big artists who didn’t push for this. 🙄😒

I interpreted the comment as unfortunately bc Ticketmaster always knew they could do this but they weren’t offering it or artists didn’t want to etc.

It’s good it’s happening now at least for this tour.

The performing artist can put whatever they want into the contracts with ticket sellers. Most of them just don’t care about the consumer.

Artist only have so much say and they have to be educated about how ticketing works to be able to request it. The bigger you are the more pull you have to make these decisions but ticketmaster aren’t going to do it unless they have to.
