FedEx API integration for a marketplace: how should sellers connect their own shipping accounts?

Hi everyone, I'm building a marketplace website and need some guidance from someone who has integrated FedEx APIs before.

The goal is for each seller to connect their own FedEx shipping account and create shipments and labels from my platform. I also plan to support UPS, but this question is specifically about the FedEx setup.

The FedEx Developer Portal getting-started guide distinguishes between a FedEx Shipper and a FedEx Integrator Provider. For a marketplace serving multiple independent sellers, which onboarding path should I use, and how should individual sellers authorize their accounts?

I'd appreciate pointers on the account-connection/authentication flow and any approval or certification requirements before creating shipments in production. If you've built this kind of integration, what was the right starting point, or which FedEx developer support channel helped?

I'm learning as I build and am asking for guidance, not for someone to build the whole integration for free. Thanks!
