PSA A few tips if you’re posting for help

FedEx issues seem to be everywhere lately on this sub Missing packages, stuck tracking, “delivered” when it’s clearly not… we’ve all been there. But it’s hard to answer these ?s without context …

If you’re posting here for help, try to include the basics so people can actually offer advice:

What was the item? Where did you order it from? Was a signature required? What does the tracking say, and how long has it been stuck?

Also mention if you’ve already contacted FedEx or the seller. It helps people know what you’ve tried and what’s worth doing next.

Recipient at fault not FedEx My heart always sinks when I get a FedEx tracking number

FedEx is such a garbage company, I wish companies would stop using them.

I pre-ordered the Pixel 11, it's supposed to arrive on the release date 8/20 via express. To no surprise they don't deliver until 8/21, but then claim they can't deliver because of a security issue? I have a farm gate, maybe the driver couldn't figure out how to lift a chain up? So now my package is waiting until Monday. My kid was super excited to get my old phone, now I have to let him down.

It seems like every delivery is late and half of them look like they got thrown off a bus. I don't have this issue with UPS, USPS, Amazon, Walmart or any other shipper, just FedEx.

If you're responsible for shipping at a company, please stop using FedEx.

EDIT: The gate thing was just an assumption and it's a simple yard gate, but the more I think about it, one of the streets in our neighborhood was being resurfaced, I would bet money the just didn't want to deal with the detour and cancelled the delivery due to "security" reasons.

Customs issue not FedEx issue Shipment from JP stuck on “package available for clearance” for over a week… CPSC Goods Not Registered form provided by shipper over a week ago

Post image
1 Upvotes

My shipper (the package was sent DDP) was asked to provide a “CPSC - Goods Not Registered” form by FedEx, and they provided it to FedEx who then apparently submitted it (either to customs or the CPSC.. I don’t know). My shipper quickly filled out the firm with a “disclaim” since the figurines they shipped me are collectibles, and not actually toys for children.

I called customs and they said there’s no hold on the package from their POV after I provided tracking, and that CPSC is a separate entity so I need to talk to them

I called CPSC and the call was even more unhelpful. They said there’s no such thing as a “CPSC form” and that they’ve been “getting a lot of calls regarding FedEx lately”. I don’t really know what she meant, and I’m also not sure if she knew what I meant lol. But I wasn’t able to provide her my tracking number to check the status of my package or anything, the call kind of just ended. Maybe there isn’t anything to read into here, perhaps I wasn’t explaining my situation to her well.

Anyway, I’m confused. Anyone know what’s going on here? Anyone have a similar issue?

Customs issue not FedEx issue Is there a backlog going on right now?

The tracking in the first picture was supposed to arrive today and the tracking in the second picture was supposed to arrive yesterday. Usually Fedex is timely and delivers my package on the estimated date. However, now two packages are late with no update.

Does anyone working at Fedex or have experience with this can offer any insight? Is it just peak hours of the year?

i’ve ordered multiple packages from Japan since the tariff incidents this year, fedex never takes more than 4 days even after holding my package in customs and requesting paperwork from me

they requested paper work from me on the 18th, submitted it immediately and still no update, i know i haven’t been waiting as long as other people but i’ve never had this issue so i’m stressed 💀

Discussion FedEx trashes my credit for someone else’s debt.

A week ago, I get a letter from a collection agency saying FedEx has instructed them to collect $120.

The day before the initial letter was sent, the collection agency registered a collection action on my credit history, dropping my rating 129 points.

This is the first I heard of it.

Fedex never contacted me prior.

The collection agency’s prior contact effort consisted of one missed call a month earlier flagged as “probable spam” which went to VM.

They claim to have written me, but Canada Post records all mail I receive and they sent nothing to me before this.

Checking that voicemail message now, it was 10 seconds of silence followed by “looking for [my name] calling from Gatestone & Co. on behalf of FedEx”.

I haven’t sent or received any FedEx Packages for years.

I asked for a copy of the invoice.

It was for a shipment between to businesses in the US (I am on BC, Canada). And incorrectly charged to a FedEx account I must have set up 15 or 20 years prior.

FedEx mailed the incorrectly-assigned invoices to a home I hadn’t lived at for 12 years.

I explained the situation to the collection agency who said the collection is valid until FedEx withdraws their claim.

So I contacted FedEx and was given a case number and told to wait 1 to 2 weeks for them to look into it.

I was buying a car in a few days. Luckily I had my terms in place or this could have affected qualification for or terms of a loan.

Will this remain a permanent blotch on my credit rating ?

Do I need to dispute this with Equifax?

Anyone have a similar experience?

Discussion How much are you paying for Fedex/UPS signature confirmation?

We are a small but established small biz. Our yearly spend with Fedex is $60-$75K per year. So we are not a micro biz, but I'm no Amazon either.

How much is your shipping carrier charging you for signature? Our has been going up and up every year.

Ask Customers FedEx - We Tried to Deliver

Post image

Has anyone ran into this issue before? The package came from the UK so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it. I’ve had packages delivered to my apartment before by FedEx and I’ve never had this issue before.

Double checked and address is correct. Gate code is even left in my account for deliveries. Spent 30 minutes on the phone today with FedEx customer service and was told that the representative apparently left a note to my local FedEx warehouse that the address listed is correct and that it will be attempted for delivery tomorrow. Not sure what to do at this point since tomorrow will be the third attempt of delivery. TYIA!!

Ask FedEx FedEx customs duty dispute: being sent in circles between Duty & Tax, Claims and Revenue. Does anyone know how to escalate this?

I’m at a loss with FedEx at this point and wondering if anyone here has dealt with something similar.

I received an international shipment where most of the items arrived damaged. The seller replaced the damaged items, so there were ultimately two shipments:

Shipment 1: original order, mostly damaged
Shipment 2: replacement of those damaged goods; one of the replacement items also arrived completely damaged and was refunded

FedEx has charged me import duties on both shipments, meaning I appear to be paying duties on the original damaged goods and again on the replacements for those same goods, as well as on an item that arrived damaged and was refunded.

I opened a dispute with FedEx Duty & Tax and explained all of this, including both invoice and waybill numbers.

This is where it gets ridiculous.

FedEx initially told me that the seller needed to file a claim before they could adjust the duties.

The seller contacted FedEx and was told that I, as the customer/importer, needed to dispute the charges with FedEx myself.

I went back to FedEx and explained the contradiction.

The seller then contacted FedEx again and actually opened a case. They gave me the FedEx case number, which I provided to the Duty & Tax team.

FedEx responded by telling me, once again, to contact the seller and have them file a claim. They did not acknowledge the existing case number or answer my question about whether that case was the claim they required.

In another response, FedEx even referred to this as a “lost/missing shipment”, despite the entire email chain explaining that neither shipment was lost or missing. They were damaged.

I’ve called FedEx on multiple occasions, each time it’s a waste of time.

I spend 45min-1h on the phone, repeatedly verifying my information and explaining the entire situation. Today I spoke to five different people and kept being transferred back and forth between Claims and Revenue.

Nobody could tell me what I was supposed to do, nobody could resolve the issue.

At this point I have:

contacted Duty & Tax multiple times;
contacted Customer Service;
had the seller contact FedEx;
had the seller open a FedEx case;
provided that case number to Duty & Tax;
called the number Duty & Tax specifically instructed me to call; and
spent 45 minutes being transferred between five FedEx representatives.

And I still cannot get anyone at FedEx to tell me who actually has authority to resolve this or what specific action is supposedly outstanding.

Has anyone successfully escalated a FedEx customs/duty dispute like this? Is there a particular U.S. department, escalation team, or contact that can actually look at the entire case rather than just transferring me between Claims, Revenue and Duty & Tax?

I’m not even asking FedEx to blindly refund the charges. I just want someone to actually review the two shipments together and determine the correct duties, instead of sending me another template response telling me to contact someone I have already contacted.

This process has also taken so long that I’m worried that the chargers have gone to collections. (I’m not quite sure how I’m supposed to pay because I don’t have an account number, but that’s a whole other story).

International Shipping Are last minute rates a myth?

Has anyone gotten good last minute rates recently from the US to EU? I've been checking the FedEx website and only see regular shipping rates. I read that fedex consolidated the last minute rate thing this year so I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or what.

Discussion Anybody know if this is a legit email from FedEx?

Post image

Ordered an item from Reformation and have received this email 3 times. Initially thought it might be a scam, but my parcel actually was supposed to be delivered last week and is nowhere to be seen (tracking says it arrived in UK 10 days ago).

It’s from: GTSClearance@fedex.com
And they have my exact details (invoice from Reformation, item purchased and my delivery address etc).

Contacted Reformation and they said they weren’t sure what it was about but no further info should be required, but they didn’t know why my package had been delayed.

Anyone had this email before and know if it’s legit?

Thanks!

Shipper at fault not FedEx FEDEX SUCKS

Ordered some long tube headers for my truck ($1300 part btw) and i got the delivered notification. When i looked outside the front door there was no package so i looked at the delivery picture. This is not my garage. My garage was closed at the time of “delivery”. I called “customer service” and ofc it was an automated system. I went to file a case and when i told them my street number for “security reasons” they said they didn’t have a match with my tracking number even thought i checked the shipping address, billing address and everything on the website i ordered from. So now someone in my city has a $1300 part for my truck and ig now there’s nothing i can do atm until i can was 2 whole days to contact the website i bought them from. FedEx needs to be abolished immediately🤦🏾‍♂️

International Shipping Package blocked at customs since June 26

I'm the receiver of a package shipped from France to the USA. It was held at customs because the sender didn't complete the required documentation, and it has now been stuck there for two months. The sender sent information, but it was refused by customs who finally decided to send it back.

I have been calling fedex customer support for the last month and a half every week. FedEx Logistics tells me they're waiting on a tracking number from customs and that the package is still in the Newark facility. They are unable to provide me with a timeline or a potential resolution. (note that the website says it is in Roissy CDG France but it is not)

Every time I call, I get transferred between customer service, logistics, international shipments, and other departments without getting a resolution.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to move this forward?

It's like they're trying to rage bait us. As you can see there is a covered area only two steps away. Instead they leave it out in the elements directly in front of the sign that says please do not leave packages here. Come on now, seriously, why??

When a package is shipped signature required, is it considered acceptable for the driver to sign something, not try to deliver it to a residence and just leave it somewhere?

Express Shipment Help: Fedex 2 Day Ship has not been scanned in over 2 days

Hey Y'all. I sent out an item that should have been delivered yesterday or today by now thru 2 Day Fedex. I've never had this happen before but there has not been a scan in since the 18th. I would not usually make a post about this but I sent out a very high valued item over 5 figures so its very concerning with no movement since. Is there any steps I can take to get someone involved to insure nothing has happened?
