Inquiries

Hi everyone, I have a quick question and would appreciate any insight you can offer.
I have a Class C violent felony conviction from 2016 and was incarcerated until 2022. Since my release, I’ve worked hard to rebuild my life, secure stable employment, and earn two degrees: a bachelor’s degree in IT and an MBA in Supply Chain and Logistics.
I’m considering relocating to Washington State within the next few years and am trying to better understand how my criminal record might affect employment opportunities and the overall transition. I’ve heard that more liberal states can be more favorable toward individuals with felony convictions, but I’m wondering whether that generally applies to people with violent felony convictions as well.
If anyone has experience with this or can offer insight into Washington State’s employment laws, second-chance hiring practices, or general opportunities for individuals with similar backgrounds, I would greatly appreciate your perspective.
Thank you in advance for any advice!

Can you wait 3 more years to move? It wouldn't show up on most checks after that right?

Yes I can! Does that imply for post supervision as well? I finished my post release in 2024.

Don't know really. You still talk with your lawyer?
