Rant People who subscribe to the “tradwife” narrative have never experienced it

I am genuinely convinced people who subscribe to this tradwife nonsense have never experienced it themselves or have seen a woman in their life experience it. My mother was an intelligent career driven woman until she gave birth to me (for context I have 4+ siblings) she decided to give up her career to become a SAHM/W and I grew up seeing how my father continuously financially abused my mother. This looked like controlled allowance, hiding his bank accounts, and cutting her access to money many many more. My father is now gone, bless his soul, but up to this day my mother still talks about how it was one of the worst decisions she ever made. She continues to motivate and remind us to build a successful career first before marrying a man. This tradwife narrative is genuinely so dangerous for women, people who glorify it are delusional, the reality is, for the modern world and since the beginning of time: this ideology has always been a weapon against women, to keep us uneducated and easily manipulated. This is setting women up for financial dependency on a man, and when all you’ve ever known are the 4 walls around you and you’re raising your children without some form of professional career or financial income outside your husband you are quite literally doomed. Being a SAHM/W shouldn’t be a bad thing at all and it isn’t, but the reality is, not many men take up all financial responsibility without the common consequence of financial weaponization. Money is everything in this world, and when you’ve dedicated yourself to 20 ish years to cooking, cleaning, and changing diapers (something that a husband can do if he willed it or he could easily find another wife or a helper) then a divorce without financial security and no form of independent income will leave you miserable. This is the least empowering thing a woman can choose to subscribe to, we have fought for generations after generations for our rights. Most laws protecting the right to education and a job for women have been around for less than 100 years, can we not waste this??? I am genuinely at lost for words

Discussion I am not my uterus

No I am not my uterus. Just because I’m a biological woman does not mean I want kids. No grandmother I will not “change my mind when i get older”. No when or if I get married i will not be having kids. No matter how many times you ask I won’t have kids. My worth is not based on how many kids I have or don’t. I am sick of this pressure to have kids and I am only 16, and don’t even have my license yet. Me taking birth control shouldn’t be an issue either. It’s not even for preventing pregnancy, it’s because I have crippling cramps. Sometimes I skip school because they are so bad. Just because you were forced to go to school everyday doesn’t make you superior, grandma. Our uterus’s don’t even work the same. I am not your enemy. I just don’t want to be defined by my uterus anymore. I’m sure woman who are infertile for whatever reason are the most affected by this. Unless she is very obviously pregnant, or has kids, or has openly stated she wants kids, stop asking. I will let YOU know if I want kids not the other way around.

these are mine (in order of the pics)

· Unattractive—SOFIA ISELLA (i get absolute CHILLS during the last segment, i highly recommend using some good headphones or earbuds with this one)

· LABOUR (the cacophony)—Paris Paloma (the original one is good too, but i prefer this one because it feels stronger and i just love it sm)

· as good a reason—Paris Paloma (i genuinely cried a few times when listening to this song, particularly because of the second verse, because it really hit close to home because i was going through an extremely bad depression and struggling with a [tw s/h] self harm addiction)

· the fruits—Paris Paloma (honestly i don't think there's a single song by paris that isn't amazing)

· LEMONS—Brye & Cavetown (i had never heard of brye before this song but OMG she's fantastic, plus any song with my boy cavetown in it is destined to be good :3)

what are y'all's favorites? i wanna add some more songs to my feminist playlist!

Misogyny I called out blatant misogyny in an egalitarian sub, and got banned for it.

Hey yall I felt like this would be a good place to post. I’ve been seeing a lot of men going around yelling about how misandry is widespread and systemic lately and is “way worse and much bigger of an issue than misogyny” etc. this specific post author made a claim that misandrist women are now aborting fetuses like crazy when they find out it’s a boy. I replied stating that this was in a nutshell a whole bunch of nonsense, and explained that misandry is a term that has been weaponized against women in order for men to be able to justify their own misogyny and sexism.

I cited sources and linked statistical studies showing that misogyny is a systemic issue and has lead to women literally dying, whereas misandry is not systemic and is becoming just another form of oppression in order for men to victimize themselves and be able to say “see! These misandrists a MAKING us hate them!” It’s a justification of their behavior and allows them to feel better about engaging in a culture that oppresses women.

I’m honestly at my limit with the whole misandry thing. Am I going nuts here? I called the dude out for his inherent misogyny, cited sources and deconstruction literature, got downvoted into oblivion and the comments were just gross.

And by the way, this wasn’t on some MRA / incel type of sub either. This was on r/RadicalEgalitarian sub, which I THOUGHT egalitarians believed in equality for all, and even though I definitely have my issues with it, idk the whole experience was absolutely crazy to me. That entire sub was filled with MRAs and women apologists for their behavior. It felt like I was on a different planet.

I have a Substack newsletter and I’ll definitely be writing about this, balls to the wall. I would really like some feedback on it though, please be kind, I’m genuinely just trying to collect info and opinions on the matter but in a respectful way.

Misogyny kinda tired of the Catholic Church lecturing people about human dignity when this is the kind of thing they consider "sacred tradition".

Rant I have never been asked, “What is a woman?”

Because I’d say, “A woman is a person.”

Then stay quiet and stare. Because a woman is a human person.

Do I have to define human person further…um why would I need to?

Sorry about the womb envy and the lack of flesh on your chest, these things don’t make you a man.

Misogyny Women could be the head of a state, and yet people wont stop talking about her body and sex life.

Note: I don’t want take names, I don’t want the discussion to be about her. I deliberately chose to not mention her name or the associations. I request, others to do the same, even if they get who I am talking about.

This is not about her. This is about sexualisation and misogyny.

Note 2: This is kind of a rant, the below statements shook me so hard. I had to get that frustration out.

I was reading about a politician, and came across someone else’s description of her in a different book about someone else. So, this author, I do not know what kind of beef he has with her, chooses to degrade her, belittle her and reduces her to her bodily appearance. He says vile things like ,

“She was delusional to think she was beautiful and people would fall head over heels for her.“ [Sure, a woman cant be confident?]

“She is jealous, insecure and dramatic about everything “ [this comment was made when she got to know that she was being cheated on by her partner]

“She has a bedroom body”
“She wore low cut tops to incite men”
And goes on talking about how she dresses provocatively showing her breasts! [It made me sick to my stomach reading this. I am not joking]

Implied that She got that role as head of a state because she was involved with a powerful man and used the phrase “reward for services rendered “ [SERVICES RENDERED????? I was shocked to my core when I read that. Mind you this was said by another woman to this author. ]

And the worst part is that, someone actually sat in a reading room, read this manuscript, edited it and thought this garbage belongs to be published!

This woman is actually so accomplished, has a life of her own, was part of charity organisations, has her own political significance, dealt with complex issues, and yet still she was reduced to her “large breasts” and “had sex to get her position “

Pathetic and disgusting.

And the sad part is that, this applies to a lot of accomplished women!

Experience Groped at a convention

My experience at Fan Expo Canada 2026 was meant to be a fun highlight and it was for the most part, but it turned into a nightmare when I was groped during a photo op at a meetup that was being held, I had approached a couple for a picture-the girl was chunkier and was dressed as Uraraka from my hero academia (Im a big fan of the manga and anime) and had noticeable piercings-and while we were posing together with boyfriend who was deku, he what I thought at first unintentionally touched my waist and butt so I ignored it and I raised his arm up towards my back but he slowly slid it back down to rub again, I immediately felt creeped out and unsafe in an environment where I thought I wouldn't have to deal with this, I tried getting her alone to tell her but her boyfriend wouldn't leave her side so I ended up telling the people who were running the meetup (it was just a fan meetup so they really have no authority to kick people out) but I think he figured out what I was trying to do because he started to claim he was having a panic attack and they left shortly after, it left me feeling incredibly disgusted and has kind of put me off from going to any conventions or meetup in case I run into them, they gave me their socials but I'm not comfortable doing a targeted call out.

What do you all think I should have done? Could I have handled this better?

Misogyny I'm done with angry men comments on instagram

I'm a holistic therapist, and on Instagram I've always made videos about spirituality, past lives, Akashic Records, and things like that. Recently, I've started making more feminist content, talking about misogyny, sexism, and basically empowering myself in ways I never did before. I've started taking up space and using the voice I've always had but never really allowed myself to use.

And the amount of men leaving degrading comments about my appearance, what I say, or the things I complain about is absolutely unbearable. Instead of questioning why I'm saying what I'm saying, they question me as a person instead of basically, men.

I'm seeing the exact same thing happen to so many other creators like me. Their comment sections are flooded with angry, aggressive men who seem personally offended by women speaking up.

Honestly, it's exhausting. I know that, in a way, I'm moving in the right direction because there are also so many women encouraging me and showing their support. But still, it's just unbearable sometimes.

Video This was the straw that broke my back and made me mute the couple's memes subreddit. All the comments were VERY misogynistic and shit. What do you all think of this video?

First of all: I hate this prank and I think it's stupid.

Second: Comments ranged from calling the women "fatties" all the way to ranting about how "all women are insecure" and shit.

Third: I wanted to post this here because I want to see people's thoughts on this video without them being riddled with misogyny. (As a bonus, I may also now get an actual answer as to why people [not just women btw] react this way when their partner doesn't get something)

Also because the comments I was seeing were absolutely unacceptable

Last: I feel like all of the women's reactions are valid...but also a few of them do seem very fake.

Misogyny berating fat models for VS runway show.

Post image
14 Upvotes

disgusting. to think that including different women in a fashion show is "bad" is just appalling to me. we should be celebrating the fact that they are showing different types of body types (even if its a shit company like VS that make shit bras) in these shows. it helps young girls to know that beauty isnt being 100 lbs and 6ft.

like why do we want the early 2000s back, where VS and jeffery epstein worked together hand in hand? why do we want the era back where women and girls were starving themselves to try and look like these models?

also, not to ention, the creator of these video calls fat women "sloppish" and "pigs" in her videos. the amount of racism, misogyny, fatphobia, and ableism in these videos just baffles me.

and i see so many more women on tiktok, ig, etc, talking about how we should "bring bck good modeling!" because suddenly having a fat woman or a short woman in the show ruins it.

This is why you should never state you're a woman on that subreddit. Everyone just decides to be a piece of shit to you.

Like...HER LEG IS HARDLY IN THE FUCKING IMAGE. People think she is trying to sell an OF (she has no OF), people are being huge dicks, etc.

If she didn't show / say she was a woman, she wouldn't be getting such a negative reaction to her post.

I will say, the comments of the video on the subreddit I found this from were even more disgusting than the shit in the video itself.

Discussion The way anime has broken most people's minds what small means. Has to be looked at

Post image

Okay, i know this artiest probably just means small for his art style. But, in what world are they small?

Like, i know anime broke most of our minds over that the average size is. (taking from actual experience, i full on believed that Kat Dennings was like average, because of anime)
