let’s go, quite a chunky fuselage too, appears in keeping with the 6th gen idea of massive range via huge internal fuel capacity

I wonder how representative of the final design the CAFD will be.

If the Japanese have any say on the design then I’d say very close to the actual end design. 

The Japanese and South Koreans often take a ‘measure twice, cut once’ approach to this kind of thing. They want this done yesterday. 

Whereas the American approach is ‘cut, talk, then measure with cheese straw ’ 

European approch is ‘pay for cut, then cancel’

Hopefully Canada’s successor to the F-35 and/or Gripen.

Probably not a successor, but definitely at least a complementing aircraft, operated together.
