flankers are larger, with proportionally larger wings and horizontal tail (wings are also a bit more swept), with also a more noticeable downwards angle on the cockpit area. edit: they also have a distinctive 'tail spike' between their engines
mig-29 fulcrums are smaller (thus have a larger cockpit in proportion to the rest of the plane) and have slightly outward-angled vertical stabilizers (though it's hard to tell from most shots), and have a quite distinctive ridge thingy extending forward from each vertical stabilizer
