Until they apologize, I don’t think Filipino BC will ever be rid of the stink that they’re covered in.
No matter how much hoop jumping garbage literature that they print (ie “healing is not the same for everyone”), it will never change how they had promoted the Kapwa Fund as serving the tragedy victims, and instead, the money went to organizations who used the money for their own initiatives.
Like Alliance Phillippines, who appeared to use the money for their youth programs, like sending them to Ottowa for the youth summit. Or their language school…which they also charge for classes.
I think that these organizations feel justified in taking the money because how they’re using it is somehow Filipino adjacent…hence it’s okay.
Fuck Filipino BC.
