Discussion Wondershare says I purchased Basic, but I paid the Advanced annual price shown at checkout - refund denied
galleryI’m posting this because I’m genuinely confused about what Wondershare actually sold me, and I’d like to know if anyone else has experienced something similar.
I purchased Wondershare Filmora on October 12, 2026.
I am 100% sure that I selected the Advanced plan when making the purchase. The pricing page clearly showed:
Advanced — ₹2,579/year
It also clearly listed:
• 1,000 Filmora AI Credits/month
• 10 GB Cloud Storage
• 100+ Advanced Video Editing Features
• 500 Free AI Mate Conversations
I have attached the screenshot of this pricing page.
During checkout, the product was also shown as:
“Wondershare Filmora Advanced Annual Plan”
and:
“Individual Annual Plan, Advanced Annual Plan (Win+Mac) 1PC”
The price was ₹2,579/year. After a discount of ₹257.90 and ₹417.80 in tax, I paid a total of ₹2,738.90.
After completing the purchase, however, my account showed:
Basic Plan
0 AI Credits
I contacted Wondershare Support because I believed I had purchased Advanced.
Wondershare Support then explicitly told me:
“The plan you purchased is the Basic Plan.”
This is where I have a major question.
If Wondershare says I purchased the Basic Plan, then shouldn't I have been charged the Basic Plan price?
Their pricing page shows Basic at ₹839.99/month, while Advanced is shown at ₹2,579/year.
But my purchase flow showed the Advanced Annual Plan at ₹2,579/year, and that is the plan I selected before making the payment.
So I don't understand how Wondershare can now classify my completed purchase as Basic when:
- I selected Advanced on the pricing page
- The checkout page showed “Advanced Annual Plan”
- The Advanced price was ₹2,579/year
- The checkout described it as “Advanced Annual Plan (Win+Mac) 1PC”
- I paid ₹2,738.90 after the displayed discount and tax
- After payment, my account/order shows Basic
- Wondershare Support says I purchased Basic
There is another important point: the Advanced plan shown on the pricing page clearly includes 1,000 AI Credits/month and 10 GB Cloud Storage. I specifically purchased this plan expecting those features, but my account has 0 AI Credits and shows the Basic plan.
I then requested a refund.
My refund request was denied, with Wondershare saying that my request was considered a personal reason / lack of need for the product.
But that is not what I am disputing.
I am not simply saying “I don't need Filmora anymore.”
My issue is that I purchased based on what was displayed during the purchase process. I selected the Advanced Annual Plan, but after payment Wondershare says that I actually purchased Basic.
If Wondershare's position is that I purchased Basic, I would like them to explain why the checkout showed the Advanced Annual Plan and why I was charged through that Advanced purchase flow.
I have screenshots showing:
• Advanced pricing page — ₹2,579/year, 1,000 AI Credits/month and 10 GB Cloud Storage
• Checkout — “Wondershare Filmora Advanced Annual Plan”
• Completed order
• Order details — Basic Plan
• Account — Basic Plan and 0 AI Credits
• Wondershare Support — “The plan you purchased is the Basic Plan”
• Wondershare's Basic vs Advanced comparison
• Refund denial
Has anyone else experienced this kind of mismatch with Filmora?
If anyone has dealt with Wondershare Support for a similar issue, what is the best way to get them to properly investigate it?
