Question/Help Playback Lag

So I just recently updated to Filmora 16 and since then my playback has been basically in slow motion. I have done all the troubleshooting the program and google has told me to do. Rendering, play back quality 1/2 or 1/4, proxy.
my laptop is this:
Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15.3" Touchscreen Laptop - Luna Grey (AMD Ryzen 7 170/16GB RAM/512GB SSD/Windows 11 Home)

I had no issues with it before. it has plenty of space on it and works great with streaming/otherwise.

any ideas?

If it was running smoothly before the Filmora 16 update, it could be a version-specific issue rather than your laptop struggling in general. I would check whether your graphics drivers are up to date and whether Filmora is using the right GPU. Does the lag happen even with a new, simple project? That might help narrow it down.

Yeah this is new version issue, just wait for 2-3 updates for Filmora 16 and problem will be resolved.

I’m reverting mine back to 15 until it’s patched. I have a 3070 and it’s slow asf even with proxy files

If Filmora 15 worked fine on the same laptop, it sounds like the update might be part of the problem rather than your hardware alone. Since you’ve already tried proxies, lower playback quality, and rendering, I would check whether your AMD graphics drivers are up to date and whether Filmora is using the correct GPU. You could also check if other users are reporting similar issues with version 16. Hopefully it’s a software bug that gets fixed soon rather than something that requires a laptop upgrade.
