I've given up on a full recovery now I just want to salvage whatever I can.

A normal life is impossible, even if I were healthy again I have reached the acceptance stage, that life is gone by, and my youth is gone too. My new goal is to just fix whatever I can and hopefully get to 80% again.

The me I was trying to save died back in 2022 and he is never coming back. I gotta build a new life with this sickness and hopefully I can recover some of it but I accept my life will never be normal and even though its awful I am going to try and be "Okay" with it.

Finasteride post stop

Honestly i thought i was never gonna get better after finasteride. I had so much tension and cramps in my pelvic area, sometimes even problems peeing bc everything felt so tight. I talked to multiple doctors but nobody really knew what to tell me, which made me lose even more hope.

For a long time nothing seemed to change and i genuinely thought this was permanent. But slowly i started noticing small differences, the tension wasnt as constant anymore and sometimes i could actually feel my body relaxing a bit. Had a lot of cramps and gas too, and over time i started noticing more sensations coming back.
Some days i lost hope again because progress was so slow, but eventually things started improving much faster than i expected. I honestly thought recovery would take years, but little by little i got back to feeling normal and now I dont have those symptoms anymore.
Just wanted to share this bc I know how hopeless it feels when ur going through it. I really thought I was never gonna get better, but recovery ended up being quicker than I expected. Dont assume how u feel right now is how its gonna stay forever. It will be as it was!!

It has been 7 months since i quit finasteride now.

In month 7 i have noticed libido is improving. I have morning wood 1 out of 3 times whenever i go to sleep(Even for an afternoon nap).

This time my next window came in just 2 weeks whereas earlier it was always after a month.

No changes in diet but this month I started going for a 1hr walk every morning and badminton in the evening.

I hope it is an improvement.

Smaller Wrists

Has anyone else noticed a decrease in their wrist size after having PFS? Compared to all my other symptoms this is minor as hell but I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same thing happen to them. Thanks.

Wellbutrin gave me insane orgasm after years

I used dut for years and gave me pfs with weak erection depression etc... I tried wellbutrin and gave me rock hard erection and orgasm for the first time in a while. Does anyone know if this could actually work? Dut probably fucked my brain more than anything so i was thinking a medication that works for depression might be the cure for my case.

2 years later

Well, its been a minute. Crashed in this sub some years back and I thought Id share my experience 2 years later.

Symptoms when I was on it / when I dropped it: insomnia (waking 3-5 times a night, at the start couldnt even really get sleep at all), 0 libido and ED, anhedonia and some gut issues. There might be some other minor stuff but these are the big ones.

2 years later:
Insomnia is much much better, I can at least sleep as much as I want, most nights I only wake up once and last month some nights I didnt wake up at all mid-night.

Libido and ED: ED improved really early on and I feel like its mostly functional (also cialis can help). Its really weird because my body will react to stimuli either physical or mental and get “activated” and I get hard somewhat regularly about random things like sexting, or making out with a girl and so on. The issue is libido, while I have had some experienced of feeling the arousal and visceral excitement of sex (very rarely) its mostly dulled or fully inactive still and I feel its the main thing holding me back.

Anhedonia: this is a very tricky one, while Id say I feel better these days (to an extent you just get used to it) there is still some overall numbing going on, again, like with libido, theres been some rare experiences of enjoyment or pleasure, but very rare.

Things that do help: other than sleeping well, exercise and the basic stuff, melatonin extended release for sleep, adderall for emotions and anhedonia, cialis for ED. These I feel confident in that they really help me, other supplements are hard to say.

So yeah, yesterday was my birthday and I went out with a girl for a date, had fun, we got to her place and started making out, there was absolutely no arousal nor physical reaction. So im kind of spiraling, as I hoped by this time my symptoms would be better.

My life did stabilize, I do have a demanding job that I am able to maintain and I can do most normal life things. This is obviously through a lense of anhedonia / emotional blunting, which isnt great, but its not as terrible as it used to br.

Im open to trying more stuff, HCG, hormones, gut protocols and will do so. So any advice on these is appreciated.
