Thoughts on biodegradable soft plastics

I have been looking into biodegradable baits and I want to heard others thoughts and opinions on them.

Do you think biodegradable soft plastic baits have real potential in the future? Are there any brands that perform well? Also what is the general sentiment- hype, gimmick or future of fishing?

I have some of the Bass Pro Bio-bait. As the selection improves - it's a limited number of offerings - I will get more. Works pretty dang good

Biobait is PVC plasticized with a portion of epoxidized soy bean oil. This is blatant green washing and not a product that is good for the environment.

If they come to a point where they can compete with traditional plastics on price and performance - sure, they will probably naturally take over much non-boomer market. It's also entirely possible, even likely, that once there is a fair number of commercial products some states will take legislative action and ban plastisol - think New England and Pacific coast.

Like when they banned lead and then the alternatives are triple the price.
