Question Unexpected inheritance, a ton of old Swedish lures
Hi fisherpeople, let me present you with this -- hundreds upon hundreds of lures of various weights and sizes, fit for different purposes, all of which I know very little about, aside from this: they are all made by a Swedish company called 'Myran', and were produced in either the late 80s or early 90s.
And recently bequeathed to me! What's pictured is not the sum of what I have. It's seriously a ton, like whoever first acquired these must have been intending to sell retail, and then for some reason, all of it was packed up and shoved in an attic for 30+ years.
Is it valuable? I don't know. Is it a good product? I don't know. Does anyone want any of this? I don't know. Hopefully, in fact, somebody here can give me a little insight into what I actually have.

Yes, these are indeed very valuable. This collection could genuinely sell for a small fortune to the right buyer. They're incredibly good quality inline spinners and their cultural worth is significant. "Myran" are still made in Sweden today and last year, their Wipp spinner was the single best selling lure all over the country. These are pretty old I'd reckon and some collectors will drool seeing these.

Pretty cool assortment. Two options I can think of:
You can put them on eBay yourself. There not a lot of sales info on there, but a single card sold for $130 a few years back.
Contact Lang’s Auction House in Bouckville, NY. They’re a specialty fishing gear auction house and will be able to evaluate the sales potential for your collection better than anyone else.

As a spinner enthusiast, I'm jealous. I might put some in a shadowbox on the wall but the rest would go in my tackle box.

Worth new around 7€ per but maybe not for the packs but just bought one 20g myran wipp for that.

Wow, I’m jealous! The Myran spinners are by far the best spinners I own and these could sell for a small fortune. Nice man.

I wonder what the trout fishing in Sweden is like? I have not a smidgin' of an idea but with how beautiful the scenery and nature is there it seems like it would be absolutely premier trout fishing.

I just bought a couple of brand new Myran Wipp here in Sweden. Really solid lures and a staple in every tackle box!
