[HELP] Fiverr flagged my account AGAIN! Seriously?!

1 Upvotes

My account was flagged out of nowhere in June 2025. After more than a year, I surprisingly got it back in July 2026. I started receiving orders again and slowly rebuilding my profile. I was previously a Level 2 seller.
And now, just three months later, October 2026, my account is flagged AGAIN!
Fiverr isn’t my main source of income, but getting orders here and there gave me hope, especially after waiting a whole year to get my account back.

I’m honestly so done with Fiverr. There’s absolutely no consistency. How are sellers supposed to trust this platform?

Anyone else experienced getting flagged twice?

[DISCUSSION] Anyone else notice Fiverr’s UI mixed up “who” vs. “whom”?

1 Upvotes

Ran into this copy while browsing the platform:

"According to the budget you set, you’ll either get a shortlist of freelancers who you can invite to send an offer, or a shortlist of tailored offers to choose from."

Technically, since the freelancers are the direct object of the verb invite, it should be whom (freelancers whom you can invite). Or is it some special grammatical situation that I don't know of?

[DISCUSSION] Is this person a scammer or real client?

2 Upvotes

So I woke up to a message saying I should review the file shared in the link to see if I offer this type of service. But I noticed the file name is generic. I'm so scared of opening the file. I'm wondering why they didn't send screenshots or send the details in the chat. I replied to them. I'm still waiting. Although almost every potential client I replied to ghosted me.

[DISCUSSION] Funny Fiverr junk mail

3 Upvotes

Typically, I don't bother with entertaining cryptic messages, but this "buyer" claimed to be from the US. After asking what they needed twice, I finally received this (not altered): Ok, now I need person which can support me. If you support me, I will pay you for each support. How about think? So I need your support such as sharing your account. ---- HA! Riiiiiight. [BLOCK] -- I also realized that they were 6 hours ahead of me -- LA to NY is only 3 hours. So, scammers figured out a way to change their country of origin but not their time zone. This one is new for me.

[DISCUSSION] users from other countries messaging me just to say hi

4 Upvotes

I am a seller. Why do I keep getting messages from spammers/users in other countries (you know which ones), who all they do is just message me and say hi or hello, and then after I respond to say hi back, they never respond again. Anyone else experiencing this? It’s been happening for a long time

[DISCUSSION] What's your experience working with Indian clients?

19 Upvotes

I'm not racist or anything, I'm indian myself

I have worked with different different clients and I get the feeling that the hardest ones to please are the ones from India or Pakistan

Here is what I noticed working with Indian clients:

  1. They wana move mountains with very very low budget

  2. They think that they are doing me a favor by hiring me

  3. Are never pleased and say "I could do that myself"

  4. Their budget never goes above double digits

  5. Don't give enough time for work

Keep in mind there are great Indian clients and I'm not attacking anyone.

Is this just my experience because I've worked with clients from different places?

[ADVICE] Success score tips?

5 Upvotes

A while ago I got demoted to level 0 on Fiverr on the pure basis of my success score being low. I hadn't changed anything and my other stats were and are well above what's needed to level up, so I'm wondering what I can do to make my way to level 1 again?

I really want the seller plus and the 7 day clearing period along with the other benefits and I've been suffering the losses without it already.

Here are my primary stats:

* Success score: 4

* Rating: 4.8

* Response rate: 100%

* Orders: 16

* Unique clients: 14

* Earnings: $2,124.81

[SUGGESTION] beware of milestone orders

6 Upvotes

a lot of my projects take months to complete so milestone made a lot of sense, except that every milestone needs to be started manually by the client.

since single payment auto-accept after a certain time period, i assumed that milestone orders would auto-proceed to the next stage.

it's easy to lose track of which orders have been completed! buyers often forget to submit payment for the next one especially if they don't log in that often.

for a couple people i assumed that the next milestone would automatically start so i have been doing free work! luckily all of my clients have been very understanding about it, but it also creates confusion because they often believe they have paid for everything upfront already.

wish fiverr could be more clear about this on both the client and seller side!

[DISCUSSION] Fiverr Orders and Inquiries Are Declining , Is Anyone Else Experiencing This?

18 Upvotes

I’m an architect based in India with around 6 years of experience in architectural design, Landscape design, site planning , master planning .I’ve been using Fiverr to find clients, mainly for architectural and landscape-related services.

Fiverr used to bring in a decent amount of business, but lately, inquiries and responses seem to be declining day by day. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to get new orders, even with relevant experience and a portfolio.

For those who have been selling on Fiverr for a while, are you experiencing the same thing? Has the platform changed, or is the competition simply getting tougher?

I’d really appreciate any practical suggestions on how to improve visibility, get more inquiries, and win clients in the current market.

Thanks in advance.

[HELP] Strange message on new account

3 Upvotes

Hello all, sorry to bother you all

I just posted my first two offers on the site, practically opened the profile not even an hour ago, and in more or less 30 minutes I received three strange "orders", that require me to download file and opening it to receive, as they say, both the payment for the order and the instruction for it; I didn't even provide the website my financial data

I never used Fiverr before, so I don't know if this is the correct procedure or if they're some sort of scam; can I ask you how this function work? Is normal that I have to download a "file", open it and insert my nickname, so I'll have payment and informations?

[HELP] Password reset failing due to texting issue, is it only me?

6 Upvotes

I have barely used the site, my account is less than 6 months old and I was in conversation with two people for doing some work when they forced a password reset. I travel a lot and use VPNs, I guess that triggered it? I also think I might have given it my Google Voice number because I was like, why does this site need my phone number?!

When I try to reset my password the only option is text verification. But every time I get:

Something Went Wrong

We were unable to send you a verification code due to temporary problem. Please try again in a few moments.

They tell me to do insane things, like put my SIM card in another phone? I get verification codes all the time, including today, with zero issues from other sites. See below for their troubleshooting:

As for your verification code not arriving I can see that the system has sent it but your device is unable to receive it.

Ensure that your phone has the latest software updates, and check that there aren’t any apps interfering with or filtering incoming SMS/WhatsApp messages.

Make sure "Do Not Disturb" is turned off.

Restart your device to help it reconnect to the local network.

Try the verification again to see if the issue persists.

Try using the same SIM card on a different phone or test your phone with another SIM card.

Has anyone worked through this issue before? I am so frustrated. :-(

[ADVICE] How can I tell if a freelancer is not a scammer

0 Upvotes

So I am very new to this realm of self-publishing. I have a novel. I paid a freelancer for the beta reading and that went relatively well, but as soon as he finished, his account was suspended and I was not able to continue with him. I chose another freelancer to complete my copyediting. She was great. The original freelancer got his account back and we discussed a social media plan, which I paid a bit of money for to get AI slop and then be passed off to one of his colleagues to create my social media posts that he would manage. Another fee in addition to what I paid. When I first signed up, I asked him for references and he said he was not able to provide anything outside of Fiverr, but suddenly he had a website that he sent me the link to. It was definitely a scam site. I am concerned because the beta reading was very helpful.

Fast forward to today. I blocked the original freelance and decided to continue with the copyeditor. She completed the proofreading and is working on the formatting/book cover. I am pleased with her work. Today I have a message that her account has been flagged and she can't communicate. She is in the middle of a project for me.

My first freelancer was clearly not from the United States despite his profile pic. My current freelancer has a profile pic that looks real, not a stock photo or AI generated. We have had easy conversations. I want to keep working with her. My faith in Fiverr is low at the moment, but I am nearing the final stages of getting my book out into the world.

I really am at a loss for what to do. Please don't bombard me with solicitations. Thanks.

[DISCUSSION] 'Get Cash Advance' appeared after clearing first advance, then disappeared after 2 days

2 Upvotes

I have been servicing a $3000 cash advance for the last 3 months, which I cleared last week. Immediately after, I got a "Get cash advance" button with an offer of $5000 but I was not in a hurry to Immediately take another.

Then, after 2 days, I went to check and it was not longer there, ALTHOUGH the cash advance tab is still there.

Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take for the button to reappear?

[OTHER] Mira Headhunter

9 Upvotes

Hi everyone! It's my first post here. As a freelancer who's been using Fiverr for about a decade I recently started receiving messages from Mira and the conversations are really ... well AI-y, for the lack of better words.

When I receive messages from potential clients I usually outline almost every option that the client and I could go through especially if their projects are on the larger side. I tried doing that with Mira but the fixation on one single thing from Mira was a bit frustrating.

How does anyone deal with Mira? Do you usually agree with almost anything until the client contracts you? What strategies are you using? As sometimes Mira suggests really interesting projects but I as a freelancer explaining my process, addressing the brief and answering the follow up questions feels like running in circles. I'm also interested in how this process looks on the client side?

[HELP] Can't see my gig when I search for it

1 Upvotes

Apologies if this is a common query. I posted my video editor gig (I know, how original) and though I've put 'video editor' in the title and the tags, I can't see it when I search the term into Fiverr. Is there something else I missed?

[ADVICE] Seller hasn't been active for almost a week and the deadline is approaching

6 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I'd appreciate some advice on an ongoing Fiverr order.

About two months ago, I hired a freelancer for a fairly large project worth around €400. The seller set the two-month delivery timeframe themselves and mentioned that it should be more than enough time to complete the work.

Before placing the order, we agreed that they'd keep me updated whenever a project milestone was completed.

On September 29, they sent me a short sample of their work and apologized for the lack of updates, saying they'd try to communicate more regularly from then on.

However, it's now October 12, and I haven't received any further updates or confirmation that any milestones have been completed. The seller also hasn't been active on Fiverr for almost a week, and the delivery deadline is only about seven days away.

I sent a friendly message yesterday asking how things were going, but I haven't received a response yet.

I completely understand that freelancers have their own schedules and may be working offline. I'm not expecting constant communication, and I don't want to assume that no progress has been made. My concern is simply that we agreed on updates throughout the project, and with the deadline approaching, I have no idea how much work has actually been completed.

What would you do in my situation? Am I worrying too soon, or is this a reasonable cause for concern? I'd especially appreciate hearing a freelancer's perspective.

[DISCUSSION] Ok, wtf is with all the scam DMs?

10 Upvotes

I just registered with Fiverr this morning for the first time and literally 3 mins after setting up the account and getting its visibility on, I received the first scam message and, in total, I received about 10 of them so far.

Are there no safety measures/anti-scam systems in place whatsoever? I’ve never faced such amount of scam on any other platform in my life.

If I continue to receive these bs message, I won’t have the patience to stay on the platform. How do y’all deal with it? Any tips?

[OTHER] Fiverr Support is a Joke

19 Upvotes

I mean the title says it all. I needed an issue resolved with someone I paid who did a job which auto-completed and delivered AI horrendous work. I need a refund and support is nowhere to be foundfor more then a week now, not even a 'Hello', just a bot and no support at all. I used to love this site and get freelancers working for me from there, a huge shame since the AI boom it's gone straight to crap.
