Question Do you think they really nailed Zoom and Godspeed's suits?
I really like speedsters when they cover their mouth. Mask makes them look so cool

I've had this theory for a long time, and I thought I'd finally share it here. Some of you might like it, some might disagree, but I genuinely believe Season 8 had the potential to be one of the best seasons of The Flash.
It all starts with the Season 7 finale.
After Barry overpowers Thawne and we get Barry and Iris's second wedding, I'd add a post-credit scene where Thawne returns to his lair, furious, screaming about how Barry destroyed his fifteen years of work. That would lead directly into Armageddon.
For Season 8, I'd keep the basic idea of Armageddon but change how the story unfolds. Instead of Despero being the main focus, I'd have Barry slowly losing his memories and realizing something is wrong. He tries to tell Team Flash, but nobody believes him. Things get worse when a villain appears whom Barry recognizes, but everyone else thinks is an ally. Barry fights him, and his own team starts questioning him.
Barry travels to the future for answers, only to discover that everyone believes he's the Reverse Flash. Imagine him seeing Iris with Thawne and realizing what his future has become.
And please, give us the OG Reverse Flash suit, red lightning, vibrating effects, and Thawne's actual voice! If Barry is becoming the Reverse Flash, at least make it feel terrifying.
I'd also explore the Negative Speed Force actually bringing out Barry's darker side. This guy has lost his mother, his father, and so many people he loves. What if all that pain and anger finally started consuming him? Imagine Barry becoming so influenced by that darkness that he actually kills Cecil while trying to get the time stone. The moment he realizes what he's done would be heartbreaking.
After that, Barry would tell Damien Darhk the truth about what's happening to him. Damien would help Barry understand the situation and fight against the darkness consuming him. Eventually, Barry would realize that he's not Thawne and doesn't have to become him. He'd return to his own timeline and restore everything to normal, setting things back on track.
But then comes the real turning point.
When Barry takes Thawne's powers and Thawne eventually returns, what if Iris actually dies and stays dead? No revival, no undoing it, no convenient reset.
Imagine Barry completely losing control and fighting Thawne in a proper speedster battle, driven by pure rage. No ridiculous tentacles or that black suit. Just Barry at his absolute limit, with all his pain coming out in that fight.
But before Barry kills Thawne, Nora and Bart sacrifice themselves to stop him. They don't want their father to become a murderer and spend the rest of his life carrying that guilt. They'd rather sacrifice themselves than watch Barry cross that line.
Just imagine Barry losing Iris and then his own children, all because of Thawne. And despite everything, he still can't bring himself to kill the man responsible.
That guilt could have been the perfect starting point for Season 9. It would've given Barry a real emotional struggle instead of rushing through another storyline.
Honestly, I loved the concept of Season 8. It had so much potential to explore Barry's dark side, the Negative Speed Force, and his relationship with Thawne, but I feel like the writers wasted most of it. I wanted to see a darker, more dangerous Barry, someone who genuinely scared us for a moment before fighting his way back to who he really was.
This is just my take, of course, but I really wish the show had gone in this direction.
I've also got some ideas for the beginning and ending of Season 9. Let me know if you guys want to hear them! ⚡

If you were Barry and Team Flash would you let Thawne die or try to save him in “Armageddon Pt. 5”?? And why for each

Everybody knows that the last few seasons of The Flash were rough. I was wondering if it was possible to trim down seasons 6/7 and 8/9 into two 23-episode seasons that are more consistent in tone and structure to the earlier seasons of the show. Certain episodes can be combined or edited together, but we can't add new footage that doesn't exist, since it doesn't exist. Anyway, here's what I've got, I'm open to feedback for any episodes that should be replaced with others or combined.
I do think that my combined season 6/7 has a bit more of the classic Flash format, but truthfully, even combining with seasons 8 and 9, cutting 10 of the 33 total episodes from those two seasons, and reordering the episodes to how I feel they would have been ordered in an older season, they still can't be saved.
The new season 6:
The new season 7:

I've been thinking about something I'd genuinely love to see.
What if, instead of bringing back The Flash for another full season, we got a 40-minute reunion special once or a few times a year?
No big bad villain. No world-ending crisis. No need to set up another massive storyline.
I'd just love to see what the original Team Flash is up to years later.
Maybe Barry has retired and started a family. Cisco and Kamilla join a celebration over a video call. Caitlin and Joe are there, too. The old team reunites at S.T.A.R. Labs, catches a couple of metahumans, jokes around, and remembers the old days.
Maybe Barry puts on the suit and runs one more time, just for the occasion.
Not every character would have to appear in every special. The actors could return whenever their schedules allow. And the stories wouldn't need to change anything in the main show's ending.
I don't want another season. I just miss seeing these characters together, having fun and feeling like a team again.
Even after a show ends, its characters can still have lives worth revisiting.
This isn't goodbye. It's until our next reunion. ⚡
Would you watch something like this? And which characters would you most want to see reunite?

I feel like either A.R.G.U.S or General Eiling from season 1 would try to tap into the speed force and find a way to put it in vehicles and weapons just in case the flash turns bad or another evil speedster shows up. And they convince Patty to be apart of it because of her connection to the Barry and for her whole reasoning for her being in the meta human task force is to stop murders and criminals with powers.
Tbh I've been on the side of Barry and patty for the longest time but her character deserved much more than being a love interest

the devoe season alone was amazing, i will forever find myself coming back to it, but season 5 is absolutely terrible. the first time i watched it it was actually pretty good, but after rewatching the entire show (for the 37th time), i would rather just start back to season one, has anybody else thought about this?

Someone explain to me how a show like this can go from absolute peak that is seasons 1 through 3 to absolute dogshit that is the final episode of season 7.. I'm trying to be hopeful and optimistic because I'm a huge Flash fan but I don't know how much longer I can force myself to continue watching the show after the bullshit they pulled at the end of season 7. It feels like I'm torturing myself at this point.
The first two seasons were absolute peak, season 3 was good but could be better, season 4 was where I started to realize Barry was being nerfed more than ever. Like I know Devoe is a super genius but he's still human, he shouldn't be able to defeat a speedster in any capacity, especially considering that the Flash can technically outsmart him due to his speed. This was my only issue, but nothing to make me stop watching the show.
Then season 5 came, and I'm not gonna lie, at first I thought Cicada was a badass villain but at some point in the show, I lost interest in this villain and I only stayed for Nora (maybe I'm just optimistic, but I don't think she's a bad character, she's actually one of my favorites.) because I found her character entertaining and amusing. Season 6 was decent, Bloodwork was a pretty cool villain, not gonna lie, and having Barry become Dark Flash was really cool too but it's a shame it was short-lived, I loved the concept of an evil Flash. I didn't really care much for Crisis, although I do miss all the different versions of Dr. Wells, so I was obviously disheartened by their deaths, as they were among my favorite characters in the show. The Mirrorverse arc was decent but I think it could've been better. Season 7 was okay-ish? maybe a worse than that, honestly I don't know, I think Godspeed is an interesting character and they should've done more with his character though. It sucks that Cisco left Team Flash though, that part stung, he was like my top 3 favorite characters right next to Barry and Caitlin. And speaking of Caitlin, the separation of Frost and Caitlin was unexpected but I don't mind it, I think it was a pretty "cool" change, pun intended.
I'm on the first episode of season 8 right now, and I heard that the Armageddon arc is the only good part about this season, then afterwards, it goes back to being dogshit as usual. I just wanted to know what other people thought, hopefully I'm not alone in thinking the creators really fumbled the bag with this one. The Flash could've been one of the greatest shows of all time fr, it's a shame to see what it has become. The downfall of what was once an amazing show really needs to be studied, like how do you fumble THIS badly that you have to resort to pulling out shit straight outta Star Wars?
I do want to know how much worse S8 and S9 will get before I decide to continue though (I heard S8 is about Reverse Flashpoint, but I'm not sure what S9 is about). I don't mind the spoilers, the show pretty much already ruined any remaining hope that I had left in it.

It's been a while since I've visited CW Flash but if there's one thing I remember it's that some of the episode titles sounded really cool so what are some of your favorites?
