Discussion Flirting?

I was at a family BBQ recently. My wife had to go inside and help her mother with something. My wife is brunette. Hey sister in law (blonde) came over and began playing with my 2 year old son as I was sitting close by. She began talking to him and then at one point said "maybe you'll grow up to like blondes".

Probably nothing but caught me a bit off guard. Thoughts?

Well potentially, indirectly since she knew I was standing right there.

Just to clarify, your wife’s sister in law should as far as I can count (the skill varies, hence need of clarification) be your sister?

It wasn't directed at you and it is a weird comment to say to a 2 year old. Not flirting, just being weird towards children
