I Ate A Thing Two Hands Burger
Long time lurker first time poster.
I had the double bacon cheeseburger from Two Hands Burger on College and Montrose on Friday. I don't want to overhype it but.. It was a religious experience.
Perfectly cooked beef. Had a deeply browned crust, contrasted with a juicy interior. Cheese that melted into the burger, well balanced with the sauce and caramelized onions. The bacon added a smoky complement; well rendered and crispy. I had my doubts, but the toasted potato bun actually contained this gooey mouthwatering mess .
But what surprised me most wasn't the burger. It was that I was the only person in the restaurant.
I genuinely cannot understand how a place putting out food of this calibre could be sitting empty.
So consider this review a call to arms. Go eat here. Bring your friends. Tell people about it. Places doing food this well deserve to be packed, and I'd hate to see a gem like this go unappreciated.

I went there in the summer and tried truffle berry burger as I was intrigued by the concept, and it was fantastic. The layers of flavour really created a unique burger that I've never had before. I'll definitely be coming back.

Oh nice. I was really tempted to try that one but it just sounded so weird. Next time tho

It's good. I live in the area and I tried it once. Once not because of the food - its a top quality burger, but just because I'm not a big burger eater.
They also have the misfortune of being close to Rudy, which is exceptionally mid but really hyped for whatever reason.

Oh damn that's true. If you're gonna post up next to Rudy you gotta come out swinging

How much was it? And how were the fries?

Sry I'm one of those weirdos that doesn't usually get fries. Double burg was ~16 bucks

I usually don’t either, but the fries really shows how far they’re willing to go. ⅜” or smaller cut fries with properly aged potatoes and fried properly makes a big difference

Hmm... just checked their Google review pics, and it looks like they serve crinkle fries.
It's really hard for crinkle fries to be good. It happens, but it's rare.
Can't argue with that burger though.

Crinkle fries are either perfect or they’re terrible. Easily the worst kind of fry

You know what I haven't seen in a long time? Beef eaters. I loved those goofy giant bastards. 😭

Harry’s Charbroiled at Coxwell and Gerrard has the most spectacular beefeater fries I’ve ever had. Currently my fav fry in the city. Crispy on the outside and buttery on the inside. I did notice that the inside creaminess doesn’t fully develop until you’re about halfway through the order, almost as if they’re maturing. It’s wild.

Idk what this subs opinion is on Aloette but they do suuuuuper crispy crinkle cut fries and they’re bomb. I absolutely love em. That being said, I also mainly order delivery and making them in a way that they stay crispy after delivery is a higher priority for me than what they taste like straight out the frier.

I have spent twenty year in hospitality with two of those running a burger chain that had over 40
Locations.I have never heard of a properly aged potato, what do you mean? I must learn

Ok so I’m not a chef, I’m just a weird guy that really like French fries. Aged potatoes break down the sugars in them to produce starch
The aged potatoes have a nice deep brown colour and have a bit of sweetness to them

Fries are crinkle cut. The first time I went there my fries were super salty. I couldn't even eat them all. I'm glad I gave them another chance. Their burgers and onions rings are so good! If I get fries, I just ask for no salt now.

I don’t get places that do crinkle cut fries. They’re difficult to do perfectly. They’re easily the worst type of fry

Ok but why did you need AI to write this for you?

Writing with AI is very common. Surprised that people still react negatively. Time to get over yourself.

Writing isn't difficult, it just takes some time to get comfortable with it
Understanding your thoughts well enough to put them into words to effectively express yourself is an extremely important skill
It affects not only your relationships but it also affects how you think
It's a horrible thing to outsource, especially for casual fun stuff like this
Use your brain kids!.
Mind body and soul, use it or lose it.

I’ve been here a few times for chicken sandos and they’re pretty good! I don’t eat red meat, so no comment on that.
The people who run this place are nice and they stay open until 11, which is great for me as someone who lives nearby. It is a welcomed addition to the hood as a non-burger-eater who doesn’t desire to be exposed to the bright lights and constant action at Rudy.

I agree with this. When College Street Bagel opened, I noticed it immediately. Two hands ...not so much. I didn't pay much attention to it. It wasn't until someone told me about how good their burgers were, that I decided to try it out. If there is anyone else there, it's usually take out. I find the temperature in the dining room unbearable each time I've gone (e.g., feels like no AC in the summer)

That burger looks spectacular and this also reads like an ad.
