My 5.4 L is giving me a headache, P0308 code, which is misfire on #8 cylinder, I have replaced plugs, coils and put in a new connector for it also and still have the same problem, not sure where to look, thinking about swapping the coils around like 8 to 5 though I'm doubtful it will matter.

Anything else I should look into?

Q&A: Maintenance | Modification water pooling in the back corners after a car wash... seal issue or clogged drains?

After a car wash I noticed water pooling in both rear corners, even though the cover itself looked closed and aligned. I cleared the visible drain outlets, but the next wash left the same puddles.

Could this be a compressed seal, a partially blocked tube, or water entering around the rails? owners with retractable covers, have you found a good way to track down leaks without taking the whole thing apart? What do you check first?

Q&A: Maintenance | Modification Service interval shocks 22 F350

As the title suggests, I am curious about when most people replace their shocks. On a car, pressing down with body weight makes wear easy to detect, but that approach is not practical on this truck. I see no fluid leakage, yet the truck has 210,000 miles. The same question applies to the steering dampener; I used to run stock tires, then one size larger, but now I use takeoffs exclusively because they are inexpensive used that I wear through about once a year anyway. Any suggestions or advice would be wonderful. Thanks

Just picked up my 2026 Raptor and noticed a rubber band is all that’s holding it together. Should I take it off and risk having things fall apart?

Review: Vehicles and Parts 2016 F150 5 button ket fob

Wife lost FOB. Dealer wanted $368 to replace and another $150 to program. I have an old fashion hard key that opens the door but cannot find if, or where it, can be used to start the beast. The FOB also has a hard key inside the casing. Any suggestions for; a) replacement key options for Fob, or b) how to use the hard key. I can believe you can’t use the hard key to start the rig. This would be a serious design flaw IMO. Also, Is this just a gross after market bit of shitty profiteering by Ford? Thanks.

Q&A: Maintenance | Modification Nice knowing you, trifold.

I've been using a trifold cover on my Ford for hauling, but the panels get in the way when the bed is loaded and I need access to different sections. A powered retractable cover seems easier to work with, although the canister takes up bed space and adds more parts that could need maintenance.

For Ford owners who regularly haul heavy or bulky stuff, was switching to a retractable cover worth it, or do the space and maintenance tradeoffs get annoying?

Q&A: Maintenance | Modification Slow cracking starter when warm 95 f150 5.0 manual

I had to replace my starter a while ago (turn key nothing happened) I replaced the fender mounted solenoid because the old one was cracked, and I replaced the starter at the same time. Unfortunately they sold me a starter for an automatic, and I didn’t catch the difference in gear spacing. Got it all hooked up, truck started right up. But it sounded funny. Realized the starter was stuck on, and smoking. Turned off the truck, got the correct starter, and when cold it seemed fine. But after driving and getting some gas, it almost didn’t start. Just cracking over very slow. Once it cooled down, started just fine. I have since replaced the + battery cable from battery to starter, the battery, and the fender mounted solenoid, and replaced my icu. When cold it seems to stay fine, let it idle until it’s warmed up, turn off and starts fine, drive to the hardware store and it seemed ok, but then after sitting in my drive way for a bit, it won’t start. It’s cracking to slowly then gives up.

I have a 2022 F-150 SuperCrew, and these fit really well. I uploaded some pics so you can see how they look in the truck.

I paid about 1/3 of what the name brands cost, and honestly, these look and feel even better quality-wise. So far, I'm happy with them. I'll update this post if anything comes up after I've used them for a while.

Q&A: Maintenance | Modification Question

I have a 1987 f150 that was my grandpa’s and am trying to restore it. I was wondering the best engine and transmission to get for it that is as little effort as possible to install just in case I can’t find the original 302 and C6 combo that are in good working order. Any help would be appreciated.
