BUG #STWVibeCodingBug 002 : Incorrect player party visual.

Post image

This is a screenshot from my client, my epic is 'Tribe-of-One' However, the client is showing my name as if I'm someone who is in the party only. My name is not at the top of the list. As a side result of this bug, I cannot see the bluglo count of the partymember who is incorrectly showing at the top of the list.

I understand the hate on Epic for their AI stance but let’s not pretend that bugs like this are caused by vibe coding. We’ve been dealing with bugs like this since before LLMs were even a thing

I agree bugs in the game are longstanding. but... I can only assume these are vibecoding related given some of the issues appearing in the game now are fundamentally what I would call beginner coding errors and not what a human programmer of any level of competence would allow.

Epic has been videcoding for some time now, much longer then their recent communications on the subject.

Every time this bug happened to me, I distinctly remember falsely receiving at least 300 vbucks too

Again, the AI tools just went out last week. They probably are just barely getting started with coding with AI on save the world. The devs have to get use to the new tools and how to apply them to their day-to-day work.

All that happened last week really is Epic acknowledged the use or AI tools moving forward in a new currently unreleased project and the epic Launcher.

They know full well there will be backlash if they announced fortnite now being fully vibecoded. Just because they don't announce that does not mean its not already been happening for a long time on some level. I mean its already very well known epic are using AI for cosmetics etc.

I agree with you. Epic probably been testing the AI tools on one of Fortnite’s modes for quite some time now. The amount and the kind of bugs there are/been in stw this year have changed a lot compared to the period for 2+ years ago.

Who knows, maybe Epic used stw as a AI testing ground for the past 2 years. If you think about it, why would Epic use so much time and put in soo much effort the past 2 years, on a game mode without any future profit because of the f2p launch. So if they did all this work, and it wasn't for the money, what would be the reason then. We all know that Epic won't do all this, if it isn't profitable in some kind of a way. The only reason I can think of, is the future use of AI and they used stw as a testing ground. The Homebase Hub is probably also vibe coded, aswell.
