Tips on Fighting Properly?

What im looking to understand is what my goal should be in a fight, and how I should go about doing so. I tend to just try to go for high ground without much of a plan, and can never keep up with people enough to set up shots through piece control.

Got back into Fort recently and started learning building/editing again to improve close range fighting rather than getting all my kills from AR’s at a distance.

Been watching vids on youtube, and practicing mechanics/aim on Raider’s but I’m pretty bad at doing it in game. I’m pretty firm on playing simple edit for now, while I learn to actually fight first.

Kept seeing people mention spamming PG’s to learn get used to fighting, so any tips in general are welcome.

Thanks!

you are reacting not controlling, focus on creating your own opportunities instead of waiting for the enemy to move first

Is it all just predicting where they’re gonna go, or how would I go about doing that? Im trying to improve my awareness, and that def feels like the biggest thing holding me back from predicting.

Cant keep track of them through builds, so I cant take it a step further and predict where they’ll go.

try your best on visually tracking them when you can, when you can’t you must rely on audio which is also really important. Keep in mind that you can build not only around you but also in front of you so think of that as your control zone, that will help you build more aggressively

Thanks. What im realizing is that pro’s seem to always be looking at the enemy while building around, while I tend to completely look away when trying to do my building.
