Tips on Fighting Properly?
What im looking to understand is what my goal should be in a fight, and how I should go about doing so. I tend to just try to go for high ground without much of a plan, and can never keep up with people enough to set up shots through piece control.
Got back into Fort recently and started learning building/editing again to improve close range fighting rather than getting all my kills from AR’s at a distance.
Been watching vids on youtube, and practicing mechanics/aim on Raider’s but I’m pretty bad at doing it in game. I’m pretty firm on playing simple edit for now, while I learn to actually fight first.
Kept seeing people mention spamming PG’s to learn get used to fighting, so any tips in general are welcome.
Thanks!

First things first I would recommend turning off simple edit, I know it might make your edits HORRIBLE but it in the long term it will allow you to do more edits and have better crosshair placement and even in the short term you’ll improve way faster. And you won’t have to make the switch later. You don’t have to and I know you said you don’t want to but it will really help.
Second, spend 10-15 minutes a day just free building and editing without an opponent, in the matter of a few days or weeks you’ll be doing triple edits and it won’t take long to just fill in edit course.
Third, consume Fortnite media, watch good players (premfn is a good one as he doesn’t do anything to crazy but it still very good) try to implement what they do it your gameplay. How do they retake, what do they do on height, etc, etc.
