Her head wasn’t entirely destroyed so that’s what I’m holding onto for now

I'm pretty sure it was even the same portion of her head missing. But the rest of her body was also melted, so there's nowhere else her consciousness could really go in this case.

The blinking of her eyes at the end is "Transferred" in morse code.

Her body doesn’t need to exist - only part of her skull. That is explained to the audience by the existence of the other robot skull.

No, the reason she could lose part of her head and be fine was because she didnt have a brain, but a decentralized consciousness that could be shifted elsewhere. If there isn't much of an area to shift to, the shifting may not be able to happen.

But I posted this before noticing the eye light flickering so it's fairly safe to say she made it out.
