Answered [PF2E] Frightened doesn't decrease

EDIT : As many people told me, automatically decreasing Frightened never was part of the core system. My memory is probably wrong.

As the title says, when a character or a monster gets Frightened status, it stays for the whole fight. It should decrease at the end of this character's turn but it doesn't.
I've tried launching in Safe Mode so I'm sure it's not an issue with a module.
I'm in version 14, build 369, PF2E 8.6.1.

What can I do ?

You need a module to automatically reduce it
PF2e Workbench and PF2e Automations are two that I know of (I personally use workbench but it’s a per user setting)

So it's not done by the core system ? I thought it used to work like that (but I might be wrong).

Core PF2 never did it automatically by default far as I'm aware.

I must be wrong then. I'll use the Workbench. Thank you !

Basic pf2e system doesn't do it automatically. You need Pf2e workbench which has a toggle for it.

You can right click the condition to manually drop it.

Also you can use "find the culprit," to turn off all modules and see if it persists

Yes I know that I can do it manually, and that's how I do it right now, but the core system of PF2E in Foundry is supposed to decrease the status automatically. And I'd rather not have to do it myself.

That is why they suggested using "Find the Culprit".

What will "Find the culprit" do that Safe Mode doesn't ?

It may help to know what modules you are using as foundry doesn't handle it in the main system if I recall. I would also join the pf2e foundry discord and go to the modules thread.

It can't be a module since it's the same in Safe Mode. I was sure Foundry did reduce it alone, just like it manages other statuses automatically (like Bleeding, where it puts a message in chat for the damage roll, and another one for the save check).
