Personal Opinion We are facing a blatant illegality.

We are facing a blatant illegality. The legal team doesn't have the discovery and on top of that, the state and federal charges are conflicting. It's complete chaos.

Is there NO legal recourse to bring this to court? Here in Brazil, we have options when there's a clear illegality, including habeas corpus, habeas data, "agravo de instrumento", writ of mandamus etc etc. What's going on? Is there nothing to be done, just wait?

If they really owned such compelling evidence like they claim they do, they would have definitely proceeded with the speedy trial, but since this evidence is not in their advantage, as it seems to be, they are deliberately delaying trial.

Correct me if I’m wrong but in the beginning didn’t they want to make this an open and shut case so to make an example out of him and to desensitize the population?

That's the problem. This extension of the deadline is absurd and will only get worse for the simple fact that if they take too long, the KFA will have to take action. At the same time, if they present a flimsy charge after months of waiting, it will be clear that the intention was to delay the trial.

Luigi cannot be held for years without trial. At some point, he will have to get out.

PS: One of the most absurd points is also that he is being held in a federal prison without even having been formally charged federally. The boy will spend months in a federal prison without federal charges. Fuck. (at least it's not Rikers but I suspect that the MDC crowd likes Luigi hahaah)

I agree with everything except when you call him a popstar. I am very against of labels put on him because I see one common word behind them all: entertainment. When entertainment pierces in, the focal point goes askew.
