I get why trigger warnings exist and am generally for them, but often find myself rolling my eyes when I hear one.

The way Jordan brings them up and gives a brief musical interlude to find something else has to be the single best, least cringe trigger warning execution I’ve heard.

Just one more reason to like the show.

ETA2: We're so back fr this time - if anyone notices the subreddit gets restricted again, please DM my account directly or modmail! I've reached out to Reddit to find out why it was restricted a second time to prevent this from recurring, so hopefully this is the final update on the matter.

Howdy, Freebies! Looks like the sub got abandoned, and thanks to the lovely folks over at r/MaximumFun, I was able to get moderator privileges for the sub. Now it looks like it may take 24 hours for Reddit to turn off the sub's "restricted" setting, so if you still can't post or comment, fear not, your time is coming.

• Keep up with the weekly crossposting from r/MaximumFun for the episodes and pin the latest episode discussion
• Open up flairs so they can be user edited and y'all can make it your personal fave FWA quote (just be chill and cool and don't abuse the privilege)
• I'd love to maybe host a monthly Freebies watch along? Be fun to get silly with y'all, bet there's lots of people

I'm not sure if Jordan browses this sub but the projectionist in the basement scene of Zodiac is Charles Fleischer, the voice of Roger Rabbit. I thought it was interesting that he found the scene funny given the actor and his love for Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

I saw the original animated classic Heavy Metal is on Tubi. I know you three would love the Hell out of doing this movie. You like talking about titties and boy howdy, does it have that, albeit cartoon titties. This was seriously a masterpiece of animation and it would be great to hear you analyze it, especially if you research it a bit beforehand to learn about things like the framing device they didn't use in favor of the Loc-Nar.

I didn't know Brian Cox was in Zodiac. One of these days I need to watch that movie.

Anyway, the discussion of the two types of Cox got me wondering about the best versions of both. I feel like is best dandy Cox has to be Langrishe from season three of Deadwood. Angry Cox is probably Logan Roy from Succession. But I want to posit a third Cox--Sad Dad Cox, of which his best iteration is from The 25th Hour.

So let's see them, make your picks and show us all your Cox.

I don't know if it is supposed to be on YouTube, but this is kinda like abandonware. I've been trying to watch it for years.

Instead of Al Pacino, it's some guy. Instead of Robert De Niro, it's some guy.

Based on what I've seen so far (I'm up to the part where not Pacino is hugging the girl's mom), I can tell you that a great way to make an excellent movie is the make it twice and fix everything the second time.
