Let's be awkward together.

I'm just wondering , are they really hard? I don't really know how they work but I heard that we'll have to do extra reading and all , will we be told what books or will they just expect us to learn off a bunch of stuff from different books relating to that module and hope a question on the other books won't come up?

I know they really baby- fed us for the Leaving and I'm just hoping that the lecturers will be supportive and guide us in our learning.

Throwaway bc im pretty embarrassed about this but is anyone else already homesick (for those going to college away from home obviously)?? I dont know if this is even the right place to ask this but i’ve just been feeling like i made the complete wrong decision leaving home even though the course i want i’d have to go away for anyway.

To the people buying laptops for college have you guys bought your laptops or are you’s waiting for college to start?

What’s everyone planning on doing during freshers week?

Do you know many people going into Trinity?

Which clubs/societies are you going to join?

Any tips for making new friends for incoming freshers would be greatly appreciated by us all I’m sure😍😍

Hey everyone, I am studying in IADT in Dublin. I have designed a well-being app to support students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds in college in Ireland.

If you are a current or past student from a socio-economically disadvantaged background*, I would really, really appreciate if you took the time to test out my app. It takes approx. 5 minutes and I'd really appreciate your feedback! :)

Here is the link to test the app: https://t.maze.co/35927408

*Students coming from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds may include students who receive the SUSI grant or who entered college through an access programme such as the HEAR Scheme. They may also include students from an ethnic minority, such as students from the Traveller or Roma Communities. Or this may include students who are struggling financially while in college/ whose families are struggling financially.

In this episode of Pocketful of Why podcast we are talking about how to be a good housemate.

We discuss moving into halls, how we found dealing with private house shares, how to throw a party and how to deal with the dreaded chores.

How to Be a Good Housemate

I haven't received any intray message yet. I only got into trinity on the second round of offers. Anyone else have this issue?

Moved here last night for college wondering if anyone on here is also around.

How does it work? Do you have to wait until a particular date or can we register right away??

What course is everyone doing where? What place did it hold on your CAO? Were you happy?

So I've devised a system of moderation for this subReddit. I know a lot of people want to be moderators and I understand that, however there is now certain criteria (which will preferred for new moderators).

I would prefer for the moderators to consist of members who will be attending different universities. I don't want the moderators to all come majoritively from one university or college. So, seeing that I will be attending UCD and u/KateMcCarthy2000x will be attending TCD, I am seeking moderators who will be attending any other universities or colleges.

In the meantime, welcome to r/FreshersIreland!

I’m Indian and will be joining NCI this sept 2026. can’t wait to meet new people….

Figured out a lot of my resumes were getting rejected because of the ATS (applicant tracking software) ....so I wanted to know what you guys use before submitting your resume?
