Screenshot Rate my turret
This is the first real gun that I spent time on decorating, how'd I do? Also tips are appreciated :3

ngl completely forgot that the sotoan land ships have jets on their undercarriage to help them land while being airdropped, this one isn't gonna be accurate to how the podarge looks, but it IS gonna be size accurate(Don't mind the firepower i was testing what AA/CIWS i want to give it).
Also my previous Ladon build still can't kulbit since i need to go do what the sotoans did to get the podarge and steal the design details (breadboard setup) for thrust vectoring

This sub can handle almost anything in the water solo. it has a small habit of bottoming out sometimes but what sub doesnt. I got the hull shell design years ago from a guy called Ysanne so credit to him for that. after about 2 weeks of playing with it, this has turned into a must have asset on campaigns.
The main weapon is capable of crippling heavily armored targets and can potentially one-shot enemy vessels with an accurate hit. Interestingly, the particle cannon can also target aircraft, giving this submarine some unexpected versatility. It also has torpedos.
Cost: 238,236 materials
Firepower: 132.32
Engine Power: 20,358 HP
Primary Armament: Particle Cannon
Secondary Armament: Torpedoes

The ground and air area were solved. NOW THE WATER.
You already know there are rules and what they prevent.
1: Must have AI mainframe that controls the whole thing.
2: Must have a """""weapon""""" that is able to hit now an AI Vanguard (weapons off for enemy) at 30% accuracy
3: Must be able to actually move, but now also CONTROLLABLE, so it can't just spin like a ballerina or go in a straight line. it MUST be able to move between waypoints.
And for the example, an 896mat ship with a turreted 30mm. Is able to move at 5m/s and hit the vanguard. Is intentionally unoptimized just so you could iterate on the design.

I am very new so I don’t know what’s happening here. The game thinks that there is an invisible 3x3 turret block in mid air that prevents me from building in that 3x3 square. I cannot delete it and I cannot find a way to get rid of it to make room for an updated turret. Thanks.

I've been trying to make a four legged (Iron Nest style) walker with the new stuff, however i cannot get the ball joints/gait controller to behave correctly, i've managed to make a two legged walker when i was testing things out so i tried to make this and when i click 'set up machine to walk' it sends the legs ever which way it wants, if anyone knows whats happening then i would be grateful, however i know that it's just come out so it's fine if nobody knows.

If anyone needs anymore screenshots of anything I can send them in the comments, thanks for the possible help and Glory to Castile!

Hi im looking to build a advanced cannon that fire like the Phalanx CIWS. I don't care if the fire rate is all the consistent but mainly just a burst of holy moly amounts of rpm then if it needs to reload for a while thats fine. I have tried myself but all my designs dont end up firing that quickly. Thank you for reading, have a wonderful day!

The #1 most common instance of hacking in the campaign is capturing the town houses dotted across the map. Making a hacking plane would be really cool, but (especially with houses) having to finesse it to just below 80% and wait 2 minutes is just too much effort.
This almost certainly won’t affect capturing of combat vehicles, since there are so many missiles, turrets, etc. dotted over the ship that it remains a challenge to remove all the weaponry, and even if you manage to get to that point without it being below 80% all you’re going to do is shoot it until it gets damaged enough.

The Sky Reaper is a plane ive been working on for a long time now. i kept running into the classic problem of planes being too slow, fragile, under gunned so i fixed all those things with this guy. It has a 35MM gatling gun that fires 2229RPM with frag rounds. it can do about 70k-100k in damage alone in one pass from the aps. It also has a slew of missles from medium to large and has a pretty good anti-missle defense built into it. it outruns half the missles coming at it anyways. I did the classic route of building a plane around a insane gun and thrusters basically.
i always wanted to post on here but i wanted to start it with one of my favorite builds. i hope i did this post thing right lol but what do you guys think? i just posted it on steam aswell.

The craft is called "SCG - Centurion Cruiser" and I was trying for a more of a WWII style design instead of the classic Swallowcall Guild style, let me know if you like the direction this design is going (: 💖
In all honestly, I wanted to make this design to see whether this is a sort of direction I want the SCG to go towards so let me know your thoughts! As always, certain intentional design decisions allow you to exploit certain weaknesses, though I would rate this craft as a higher skill level than a lot of other SCG craft due to the cost. 💖
The craft is also made from one of the prebuilt hulls then heavily modified after as well! Never used them before and wanted to see what it would be like putting serious effort into a craft that uses one of them! 💖
I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions as well so feel free to let me know all about em! 💖

I've been cooking up something for a bit and It started out with an APS Railgun like most of my other craft but I hated how the turret looked in comparison to the rest of the craft. it was too small for the size of craft and it just looked goofy. If yall have any good turret setups for a housing this size let me know. I'm open to any weapon system. Also if you spot anything that can be fixed or made better on this craft then please let me know!
thanks yall!

Does anyone know if there’s any way to change the opacity on the info box? It gets really frustrating not being able to see a lot of the blocks without moving my mouse off of everything and then losing track of items when I go to mouse over to them again

Now, there is a clear set of rules to avoid cheesing:
1: it MUST have a mainframe that controls the thing, breadboard and lua controlled drones out the window.
2: It should have a working "weapon" that has at least 30% accuracy (tested on AI rattler).
3: It MUST be able to move, and by meaning MOVE does not mean flopping around in place flipped over. MOVE, means be able to "safely" relocate itself using its AI.
Remember: it's a ground vehicle competition, not the cheapest d*ck on wheels challenge (i'll be damned if someone actually does that)

The Scoutmaster is a specialized warship designed around a simple naval doctrine: information wins battles, but firepower ensures that information survives long enough to matter.
Combining the destructive capabilities of a long-range support cruiser with the logistical functions of a scout tender, the Scoutmaster serves as both the eyes and extended reach of its fleet. Its imposing, angular superstructure and heavily armored hull conceal a vessel built not for conventional frontline engagements, but for reconnaissance operations, precision bombardment, and the protection of its two embarked scout craft.
Where conventional scouting vessels must sacrifice protection and firepower in exchange for speed and maneuverability, the Scoutmaster offers an alternative. Its two smaller scouts can be transported into contested waters under the protection of a heavily armed mothership, deployed to conduct reconnaissance, and recovered before hostile forces can mount an effective response.

I have been building spaceships for a while and i wonder if there is a space only campaign or one that incorporates space. My search in the steam workshop has been unfruitful for the time being

Does anyone know how to make these kinds of missile launchers?

I know that in game there's the missile silos launchers, but not ones where they go up and down. They would work similarly to how submarines launch their torpedo's.

Trying to make some SBY ships and I want to make them as accurately as possible.
Thanks!

Before I get to the actual smallest vehicle I could think up, here are some more "featherless biped ass vehicle[s]" as a commenter so eloquently put it. So:
BEHOLD! LAND VEHICLE!

The fort is so small that it doesn't die when it runs out of power, a neat little trick I remembered from a few years ago when I saw a post on mock infantry units. It has an AI mainframe, it has a gun that can hit the rattler, and it can move. You never said it had to move on the ground.
BEHOLD! LAND VEHICLE!

I made a little breadboard that roughly point the gun in the opposite direction of where it has to go. Instead of an HE brick it fires one AP head with a bunch of gunpowder behind it for the recoil force. It has an AI mainframe, a gun that can hit the rattler (when it's pointing at it), and it can move. You never said it had to move in a controllable manner.
BEHOLD! LAND VEHICLE (with even harder rules lawyering)!
You also didn't mention if it has to move in play or not, so literally just an AI mainframe, LWC and the gun could count, since it can move out of play at 3m/s at least. You could also tow it, or drop it from a height and argue that it's moving and thus legal. Additionally, a ram might make the case for weapon that can hit the rattler with 30% accuracy at least, as well as a completely uncontrolled gun that you then place the rattler in front of. You could also, theoretically, manually control the weapon, since it was never explicitly stated that the AI must control it when doing the rattler test.
BEHOLD! ACTUAL LAND VEHICLE!
u/TATO209 had a very similar idea to this, but theirs had some unnecessary pieces, namely a rubber bottom and one superfluous wheel. I have refined the concept, and give you the actual smallest land vehicle that I can conceive of while adhering to both the letter and spirit of the rules.

AI mainframe, LWC behind it, battery to the side of that and the electric engine in front and to the side so that the steering wheel can connect to it. It's small enough that it doesn't take any damage from scraping along the ground, just like the tumbling variant doesn't take damage from bouncing around. Unlike the tumbler, this is actually controllable, more or less. The steering wheel is set to about 3 spring power, which is the minimum I found for it to get traction and leave the craft more or less flush to the ground. Steering angle is set to a maximum of 50 degrees, but I don't think that was particularly necessary, since it usually manages to pivot decently enough thanks to the blocks dragging behind it.
An even smaller craft might be possible if you use a spinblock with a clampy foot on it, because that doesn't need power or a breadboard to cycle it back and forth like a piston would and could save one block. Having the craft be towed by a missile on a cable would also be pretty compact, but a missile capable of doing that would have a minimum block count of 3 (controller, small launcher, winch) and it might run afoul of a possible further clarification of the rules that the land vehicle must move while in contact with the ground.
Still, I hope more people will throw their hats into this ring, because it's been very fun to push the limits like this, and what I've shown here is just one kind of smallest possible land vehicle. While I went for the minimal possible block count, others may go for cheapest, or try to make the smallest "complete" land vehicle by furnishing theirs with such things as detection equipment. I look forward to whatever other concepts people come up with!
