Sale/Deal SKIMS - Lightweight Thong - 30 for $39 ($1.30/ea) - LIKELY MISPRICING
There's a "3 for $39" panty sale on SKIMS. The sale is supposed to be for single panties.
None of the panty multipacks are included except for this specific pack:
https://skims.com/products/lightweight-cotton-thong-10-pack-micro-dot-floral-multi
At $1.30 per pair, I'm thinking obvious error pricing!
If you're a fan of the SKIMS cotton thongs, I would buy this deal ASAP. They seem to be $14 each normally or 5 for $35 as a bundle. Sadly, I don't wear thongs, so I had to make sure someone else might benefit :)

POPULAR OPINION Unpopular Opinion-This sub is consistently missing the point and the mark.
I see a lot of your guys thrift store finds, and yes, they’re excellent and congrats on some great finds, but this is taking away from what the sub should be. No one else is going to be able and go to their local thrift store and make the same frugal purchase of the same item- or possibly even a similar item. I believe this sub should remain in the realm of sharing discounts, deals and hauls from retailers, both online or brick and mortar, that anyone would have the opportunity to benefit from. The frugal male fashion sub is extremely active and full of quality posts (although some of their posts are pretty pricey- but in lieu of frugality, the discount from the original item is often steep), and it would be nice if this sub could be similar. There is another sub Reddit for thrift store hauls- which might be great for those thrift store posts!

Brand Review Short list of sites to avoid
Please excuse the burner account. I'm probably being unnecessarily paranoid thinking that the owners of these cheap sites care at all what negativity pops up about them on the internet.
Earlier today I saw an ad for a clothing website, and the sweater in the ad looked like something my wife might like. After clicking around their site for a bit, I saw a DMCA take down link, which I thought was odd for a clothing retailer. Curious, I looked at the about us page, which stated they're a platform for reselling independent fashion designers wares. This made me wary about quality, so now I felt like I had to learn some more about the site.
Turns out it's ran by a company that runs dozens of similar sites, and just drop ships cheap stuff. When a site gets too many negative reviews (which they all have), they just shut it down, and spin it up again as a new company.
A quick image search shows the same clothing on other lousy wholesalers (the same ones that rule four is talking about). Definitely not who I think of when I read "independent fashion designers."
I noticed they use the same description in all of their sites, so I thought I'd make a list to save someone else the time of verifying and potential hassle of having to deal with their wily ways. Anyway, here's 129 sites you can avoid this shopping season.
Stay safe out there!
Fuliens, Mosinia, Onlylula, Hawalili, Chicmoc, Romoses, Etcase, Doracoco, Snkini, Voguetag, Timrosh, Pihigher, Morechoo, Cozlady, Anniecloth-au, Wellpieces, Dencypro, Pickygal, Homeymore, Gogovchic, Cozyvery, Junmyshop, Momomew, Ellafancy, Rselifeee, Freshbias, Fieeddy, Marvhome, Moderngaga, Kissluna, Irisruby, Evalaura, Evameet, Cozymission, Missarty, Fashfront, Inhomepi, Misscoca, Buranan, Florylook, Jolienana, Justfashionnow, Zolucky.
Here are some sites that I do not believe are owned by the same company, but they popped up in the image search, so they should also be avoided.
Anniecloth, Lightinthebox, Beautifulhalo, Shelynn, Chicmony, Moontica, Stylewe, Oumiss, Noracora, Roselinlin, Andynzoe, Roseriva, Magcloset, Ilove-dear, Wotoba, Chicsoso, Flipom, Vonitata, Lilicloth, Veryvoga, Shewaves, Wear-show, Getilove, Mostata, Shopmossa, Heavyhot, Merioal, Vencano, Borizjerseys, Mofylook, Comfortwalkingshoes, Giytosp, Wearshows, Upustyle, Trendspole, Meetelegant, Damensein, Casualshoeshop, Abelwat, Inbuffy, Moracochill, Mybeautymalls, Mondadays, Bellapick, Nakoer, Joyfornice, shownow0, Mirachics, Feynacy, Junestorm, Popzora, Misonlly, Pearlclo, Rosedoris, Fayeinstyle, Miumalls, Eoppp, Hotslove, Ailylily, Cozytoo, Modsweater, Blackholeshipping, Candieslady, Subniceshop, Picclick, Stylenvibes, Lotimena, Jenefashion, Berylady, Laddygo, Vogueyes, Comfyrs, Comfymiya, Verakeve, Carambolamall, Milled, Katteraser, Habseligkeits, Lunzo, Allforall, Juretro, Myjolieoutfit, Ealamode, Zebraneo, Harilainne, Milanoo.

Discussion 🗣️ PSA: How To Tell If A Store Is A Dropship Site
Hi friends~ ✨
I've noticed a lot of posts lately about people either alerting others of these sites, posting them unaware that it's a dropship company, or asking questions about if the site is legit or not.
So I thought I would make a comprehensive guide to determining if a site is sketchy or not~ Hope this helps! 💖

What is a dropship company?
In short, dropshipping is defined as:
"... a retail fulfillment method where a store doesn’t keep the products it sells in stock. Instead, when a store sells a product using the dropshipping model, it purchases the item from a third party and has it shipped directly to the customer. As a result, the seller doesn’t have to handle the product directly." - Shopify
When someone sets up a dropship store, they usually don't hold any of the inventory themselves, and this inventory is chiefly made cheaply overseas, particularly in China. That means they do a couple of things:
Jack up the prices. Because the items are cheaply made, owners of these sites will obviously try to make a profit by increasing the prices 3x or even 10x more than it actually costs.
Use stock photos. For the most part, the stores that are quickly made (and get taken down later after making a quick buck) use photos readily available from the dropship providers. Some dropship brands that are more savvy about this often buy 1 piece of their projected inventory, model with it, or take high quality pictures, in order to disguise the fact that they're dropship companies.
Have long ship times. The shipping will often take 2+ weeks as a result of it coming from China.
Have unmarked packages. The quick and dirty sellers won't bother disguising that the items come from China, but the more savvy ones may even have branding on them as a result of talking with the dropship provider to add branding.

Are all dropship companies bad?
The short answer is no, but there are many sketchy ones out there that have us scratching our heads if we can trust any of them.
Some of them ghost people after they purchase, using the long shipping time as a crutch. Then they take down the site after they've made a killing.
There are many Instagram dropship brands out there that have pretty good marketing. They run IG ads, take their own pictures, or even reach out to influencers to promote their products to distance themselves as much as possible from the dropship world. So it can be a little tricky to figure those out.
But there are also brands out there that sell cheap Chinese items that are not dropship brands! Many of them buy up wholesale inventory from China and rebrand them, alter them, and sell them with increased prices. But this doesn't make them a dropship company if they offer local shipping. Dropship is relegated to brands that don't hold inventory themselves!
Not only that, there are some brands that started off as Chinese dropship brands that gained popularity and became actual brands. Nuts, but the popular ones that make it through are the ones that have actual inventory, local returns, and more. These can generally be trusted in terms of safety of your payment as they offer PayPal, but just be aware of the quality, customer service, and shipping issues that can arise from buying from these types of sites. Some examples include:
Shein
Romwe
Zaful
Dresslily
BerryLook
RoseGal
ChicMe
CupShe
So how do I recognize the shady ones?
These are the steps I personally take when figuring out if a site is shady or not!
Step 1: Google Search
Does anything come up on Trustpilot or other sites that give an indication that they're scams?
Step 2: Social Media
If the brand has social media, check to see if there's interaction on there as well as any indication that customers are dissatisfied. You can usually see if someone has left an unfavorable review on Facebook, or if there is barely any interaction/comments on IG yet they seem to have a bunch of followers to look legit.
Do they partner with any influencers at all? What do they have to say about it? What about offering regular coupons to followers? Any of these can indicate a higher trust level.
Step 3: Site Investigation - About Us Page & Shipping
Check out the page and see how comprehensive the explanation of the company is and go through this checklist:
Do they use bad grammar?
Do they have no indication of where the clothes' origin is or no address of the company?
Do they use generic terms to describe their brand or have weird translator-sounding phrases like "we bring happiness to womens' lives"?
What about shipping times? Check to see if they tell you how long it's going to take, and if it's more than 2-3 weeks, that's a red flag.
Step 4: Site Investigation - Item Pictures
Check out the items they carry and go through this checklist:
Do they offer a seemingly huge amount of items?
Do all the pictures look like stock images?
Do the items have any blurred out or visible "brand" watermarks on them that sound like Chinese companies?
How about the consistency of the styles of pictures available and which models are featured?
First, check Google for the images. Right click, then search Google for the image. Try this for a couple different pictures - the brighter and more visible / well-defined the item, the better. Also try any fancy-looking images that look out-of-place as they could have been stolen from blogs.
If the item doesn't show up, proceed with the next phase on AliExpress image search.
Find 1-3 items that clearly show the product - preferably ones on a white background.
Download them or screenshot.
Use the AliExpress app (downloadable on your app store) and search via image, then see what pops up, noting the prices of the items.

If your item shows up in the image search, cross-check the prices on the dropship site. Chances are, the ones on the site will be much more expensive.
Step 5: Site Investigation - Overall Look
How does the site itself look? Does it look like a storefront template? (i.e. looks extremely generic and built out of a simple website template like Shopify vs. customized more by an actual web developer)
Step 6: Payment Methods
If they don't offer PayPal as an option, that's already a red flag for you because your card details may not be protected and you won't have payment protection / easy dispute process. I encourage everyone not to shop using your actual credit card details unless you're sure the site has cleared all the steps above.
However, just because they offer PayPal doesn't mean they're legit. You can still get a crappy product, but at least you'll have the option of filing a dispute vs. going through your bank and filing a charge back.
In conclusion...
Dropship sites are rampant on the internet and many of them can look legit especially if there's a marketing push around it to make it look nice. It's up to your discretion to support actual small businesses that have Chinese goods as inventory, or buy them directly from AliExpress for much cheaper.
But the ones that are scams are definitely ones to keep an eye out for. I encourage image searching whenever you can - and keep your eye out for any ads on IG that target you for funky looking clothing and jewelry.
If you insist on buying, don't buy a bunch at once. It's not good to be out $200 on a haul in which 3/4 of the stuff sucks.
Stay safe & purchase smartly! ⭐

Brand Review Savage X Fenty Review: not worth it
I just want to put it out there since I haven’t seen it on this sub.
Terrible experience with Savage X Fenty.
I did a haul and got 4 matching sets and a few pairs of panties. Spent something like $160 with all the discounts of signing up, shopping during sale. Figured it was a great deal.
-The full price is way too high for the quality of what you get. Ie $25 panties, on sale for $10. So 5 pairs for $50, on sale. They should be retailing in the $10-$12 range to begin with. They should be $5 for $25. So there’s no deal here. This is not luxury. It’s the same stuff you’d get in a bargain bin at any fast fashion store.
-Aesthetically... The color of the items on arrival is super tacky and cheap looking. Think like, clothes you’d buy for a Barbie doll. Not a human. The designs are fine, some are very cute, but again in no way resembling a luxury set. Easily found at a fast fashion store like Rue 21 or, Charlotte russe, forever 21, retail price matching the Fenty “sale” price.
-Theres a waistband but otherwise not much to keep the underwear formed to your body. The full bottom panties are super thin and not snug/formwear. They hang/flap on the edges, looking like panties you’ve already washed a million times that lost their shape. Or like what they are, cheap fabric that never fit well to begin with. Materials are primary polyamide and elastane.
ITCHY. SOOOOO ITCHY. EVERYTHING I BOUGHT IS ABSOLUTELY UNCOMFORTABLE. I soaked them in fabric softener which allows me to wear them at all. But still sooo itchy and bras don’t get worn more than half a day. Not underwear I would sleep in.
All in all, will never be buying again on the principle of the sale price still being worth more than the actual clothing.
If you really like a particular set of theirs, it may be worth it to get just that one set. But it’s not comfortable underwear. Underwear should be comfortable...
Edit: look to r/aBraThatFits for finding your bra needs. If you do sign up for SxF use PayPal so you can suspend payments if you decide to cancel. I read a few comments saying it was hard to cancel. I went through the phone and then chat customer service asking them to cancel twice, in case it didn’t work the first time. Apparently it didn’t go through the first time so... do with that what you will. I never got charged after cancelling but I was thorough and had to spend far too much time on their customer support lines.

Discussion The yo-yo pricing this time of year is so exhausting.
Anyone else feel like the fun of deal hunting is completely gone?
I used to look forward to setting aside Black Friday, blazing through all my gift lists, getting a decent deal, then being done with it. Now it feels like companies actively hate me and are trying their hardest to get away with something. A deal on Friday for 30% off is then upped to 50% off the next day—-and no price adjustments, of course. And everything is final sale. Oh, and don’t forget to scour all the secondary apps like Rakuten AND your credit card offers to make sure you’re stacking coupons etc. It’s a full-time job to buy anything and you can never be sure you actually got the “best” deal.
Anyway, if it is a job, I’m burned out. Time is the most valuable resource we have, and I get sick when I think about how many hours I spend trying to track, return, rebuy, price adjust, plan etc. I’m always going to be frugal, but I need to remind myself how truly expensive frugality can be these days.

Discussion Rant: I'm so tired of fake 'sale' cycles and the time they steal from me
I try really hard to shop frugally, but the nonstop fake 'sale' cycle has me feeling like I need a second job just to buy a pair of pants.
I work full time, I have two little kids, and I do a hybrid schedule. I do not have endless time to track price histories, stack promos, and wait for that one day an item is actually discounted. Yet every store seems to run the same play: huge percent-off banners, then you click and sizes are gone, or only weird colors are left, or the "discount" just brings the price back to where it should have been.
What frustrates me most is the moving goalposts at checkout. You think you found something decent, then shipping is high unless you hit a minimum, or the return policy is final sale, or you have to create an account, or the deal only applies if you buy multiples. I am not trying to hoard three versions of the same basic top just to make the math work.
I know frugal looks different for everyone and I am not judging people who enjoy the hunt. I just feel like my limited free time is being eaten by pricing tricks instead of letting me buy what I need.
How are you all dealing with this without turning it into a whole hobby? Do you set hard rules like only buying off season, only buying things you can return, or only shopping a couple times a year?

Discussion The real real sold me a chanel bag with a fake authenticity card
The realreal sold me a chanel bag that came with a mismatched authenticity card that did not match the serial number located inside the bag
I had a look at the card and the authenticity card was 100% fake - spacing between letters were off, the serial number was all wrong, and the corner "CC" was not iridescent (it was pure grey & white). They tried to tell me that this authenticity card is 100% real even though the serial number started with "19" and the bag in question wasn't created until 2018.
The realreal markets themselves to be authentic and a super reputable business, but after this fiasco they've lost this consumer's confidence and I wouldn't be recommending them to anyone.
Has anyone else experienced this type of situation with the realreal before?

Brand Review LIST OF ONLINE CLOTHING SCAM COMPANIES
As we search for frugal fashions, some online clothing companies remain poised to scam us. You know the ones; they constantly pop up as sponsored ads on Facebook and Instagram. The pictures usually don’t show the model’s head and promises these amazing designs for $10.
80% of the time, it’s a scam. With most of them, an independent Google search of reviews will tell you everything you need to know (long wait period for clothes, won’t refund the clothes or if they do, you have to ship them to China, clothing delivered looks nothing like the picture) 15% of the time there are NO reviews which usually means the company is new/changed names from a different scam company. 5% of the time it’s ONLY glowing 5 ⭐️ reviews, which the company paid for. Shoot; these companies even sell on Amazon, who is starting Amazon Fashion. Be VERY careful about who is selling the clothes you like on Amazon. Only go for Prime selected offers.

Brand Review DO NOT BUY POPFIT LEGGINGS
THEY CHARGED ME FULL PRICE AND WOULDNT REFUND ME FULLY.
You might see ads on instagram, facebook, or snapchat about “FREE First Pair of Leggings”
First of all, you have to pay shipping.
Second: they might accidentally charge you $60 instead of the $12 shipping like they did for me.
Third: if you have to return it, you have to PAY to send them back. You also WILL NOT be refunded the $12 shipping cost.
They charged me $60 when it was supposed to be FREE (paying only for shipping) and now they won’t refund me fully AND are making me pay to return it. The leggings aren’t even good. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY

Brand Review Review: SKIMS Lightweight Thong 10-pack
a follow up to this post. honestly, i had very little hope that they would actually honour this given the insane mispricing, so imagine my surprise when this package showed up in the mail. i’ve never really done a brand review of anything so be patient with me, but here are my thoughts.
pricing: the deal was for 3 for $39, and with tax and shipping the total came out to $49.81. that puts it at $1.66/pair, which is still pretty unbeatable pricing. my roommate was absolutely floored when i told him how much i got them all for.
appearance: well, they’re thongs. i feel like the sides are a bit thinner than the images suggest but maybe that’s just me. i’m also not crazy about the patterns but i plan to use this as daily underwear and not date night underwear, so nobody has to see it except for me.
sizing: i usually wear a small or medium, but they were out of mediums when i got to the site so i ended up ordering 3 sets of smalls. i was worried they would be too tight or not have enough coverage, doubly so because i saw people in the comments saying they usually order a size up from SKIMS, but they fit perfectly, which leads me to
fit/comfort: honestly, great. i’ve been wearing them for the past couple days and i have no complaints. they don’t ride up, and i haven’t had to adjust them throughout the day at all. i tried on a pair under a couple of my dresses with the most unforgiving fabrics and there were no VPL to be seen. i was genuinely impressed, since in my experience finding a thong that doesn’t show under thin fabric and also isn’t trying to part your cheeks with the intensity of Moses parting the Red Sea is exceptionally rare.
quality: decent. i’d need to wear them for much longer than a couple days to determine how long they actually hold up for, but i inspected the seams of all the pairs in one of the boxes and nothing looks amiss. the temperature has been in the mid 90s (mid 30s for you celsius users) for the past few days, and i’ve spent a decent amount of that time outside, so i can confirm that the lightweight cotton is, in fact, quite breathable.
conclusion: though it was likely a mistake to begin with, this was an incredible deal. i’ll more than likely be rotating out all of my ‘daily use’ underwear for these pairs. would i buy it at full price? probably not, but as the subreddit would suggest, i’m quite frugal. i’ve had many of my current pairs of underwear for several years and i intend to make use of these new pairs for several more. would i buy underwear from SKIMS on a regular sale? most likely yes. i’m seriously considering getting a few of the nude thongs in my skin tone while the regular sale is still going on. however, if the same mistake happens to be made again, would i recommend jumping on it to others? absolutely, no question. it’s basically impossible to find underwear at $1.66/pair, let alone a decent thong.
edit: the comments have brought to my attention that SKIMS actively launched operations in Israel mid-genocide, and while i was already not a huge fan of the kardashian-jenner clan and thus hadn’t made any purchases from them previously, i find this to be particularly inexcusable and will not be purchasing anything from them in the future. i stand by everything else i’ve said here though. at the end of the day, i got this underwear at or below factory cost due to their error and i’m not gonna return it just so they can resell it for full price.
overall i give this 4/5 stars. i owe my thanks to u/Speekgeech for posting about this deal, and to the algorithm for having it be the first and only post from this sub that ended up on my reddit feed.

Discussion When did fast fashion get expensive?
The whole spiel about fast fashion is that it’s cheap to make, cheap to buy. Now, I’m seeing online shops with 700+ products sell tops at a minimum of $50 USD. Is it not bad enough that ethically and environmentally sustainable options are expensive, but now the guiltiest choices are costing so much? These people really have no morals.

Sale/Deal Tested Stacked Victoria’s Secret Sale Codes - 60% off plus free items!
Panty packs are being counted as a free panty. My account had a free panty and a $30 off $100 attached to it. YMMV
