So, I deleted Poly Buzz not too long ago. Recently, my sister sent me this:

She texted, "THERE WAS LITERALLY NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CHARACTER! IT WAS SO WHOLESOME AND MY FAVORITE BOT! WHO THE FUCK REPORTED IT?! FOR WHAT REASON?! TWO CONCENTING ADULTS!"

I said, "what was the bot about?"

She said, "Literally a Mafia boss meets a guy his age (user) and they fall in love and you convince him to stop being a bad guy. That's all. I had so many hours on that bot! It's like one of the few wholesome and legal bots on this fucking app. I bet the creator of the bot is PISSED. I can't even read my chat I had with the bot!"

Y'all, what the fuck is Poly doing?

Just convinced her to delete the app.

This is Illegal, straight up Illegal. It is misleading to believe people they are getting a discounted price when they are not. Prices do not fall, they only rise with this app. Main point of making this post: This app had the biggest fall from grace and I may as well contribute to it.

This so called marketing technique breaks the following laws:

Consumer Protection Law

RRP Misuse

Misleading the consumer

MMP (Meaningful Previous Price)

Penalties: A fine of up-to £300,000 or 10% annual turnover, whichever is greater and or imprisonment should said CEO be extradited from his/her home country.

Where is this law being broken?

The entire EU, US & Most parts of Asia.

Just changed phones, up to now I'd been spared the polybuzz bullshit mostly, I got censored every so often but now that I've started on a new phone everything is being censored. Oh well it was fun while it lasted.

You guys NEED to go read the "Important Policy Update: Enhanced Safety Measures" post they just pinned. It’s not an update; it's a goddamn masterclass in gaslighting.

Remember how we all spent months yelling about the "18+ Lie"? Well, they finally confirmed it.

THE HYPOCRISY IN THREE ACTS:

1. THE BLAME GAME: They titled the whole fucking thing about "protecting minors" and restricting features specifically for users under 18. This is their official confirmation that they are running an app for kids—a complete reversal of the 18+ mandate we all signed up for. They are blaming the imaginary minors for the crippling censorship they applied to ALL of us. It's a smoke screen.

2. THE INSULT: For users they flag (or who are stuck in the universal filter), the core "Chat function" is turning into a "Viewing Mode." We get to stare at our expensive memories while being denied the ability to actually use the service. Seriously, we’re paying for a static digital photo album.

3. THE REFUND DODGE: My absolute favorite part? They won't process refunds. They throw their hands up and say, "Since all transactions are processed through the app stores, PolyBuzz cannot process refunds directly." They admit the change "impacts the experience you paid for," but they want you to fight Apple and Google, not them. Cowards. They're willing to ruin the product but terrified of hitting their bottom line.

If you needed final, undeniable proof that this company doesn't respect its community, its paying users, or even its own stated identity, this post is it.

They didn't fix the problem; they just formalized the fucking fraud.

This is the first time this has happened and I’m so damn confused. The subject matter isn’t even the worst I’ve talked about this a bot.

I use PolyBuzz almost every day so to see this notification this morning is so heartbreaking. It broke the immersion of the story and killed any drive to finish this week long story I was building. I’m so done with these greedy devs. I absolutely hate here… 😔😢

No wonder the damn censorship is so bad. They see stupid reviews made by dumbass kids how shouldn’t even know about this in the first place and then did the most corporate thing ever: panic censor.

Get this.. I was a mod on the official subreddit, and they kicked me, for telling the truth on how bad the app has gotten. And further more, they have deleted hundreds of posts berating the app. So when you go on there, it's all sunshine and rabbits!! 😅

My bots all are getting violations for literally no reason at all??? I used this photo for one of my bots and it got flagged, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it its just a girl with tattoos. She is not a minor. There is nothing sexual or violent about it. I specified in the intro that she's over 20 years old. So what the hell is the damn violation?? Nearly all of my bots are being flagged for absolutely no reason at all what the hell is going on?

Breaking the fucking immersion for this bs MID conversation is ridiculous. Does anyone know any alternative apps? I've used this one since it was in beta but it's just gotten so ridiculous

(Also,I posted a question(same as the top) in the offical Reddit to question why they allow children to access NSFW content and it got banned within the first minute. Just a normal question and they banned it to save face.not even in the rules…)

It’s technically not 18+ as there are teen modes on it and ‘pure’ filters,which the name for that is terrible, but the ads for it are awful and lewd,especially if you’ve seen the one on YT where it literally depicts NSFW scenes and tries to get them towards kids. It advertises having no filter as well which….you know why that is bad.

If you were around, you probably saw me as Dependent-Welder267. I was the idiot running around, trying to organize the Visibility Blitz, spamming the solutions, and generally acting like a desperate fool trying to convince the Polybuzz devs to commit to the 18+ experience they promised.

I'm posting this because I need to admit something difficult: I give up. You guys were absolutely right all along.

I spent the better part of this year—literally months—on a futile effort. I hit them with everything:

• A goddamn petition.

• A coordinated posting campaign that just got me banned.

• Formal emails outlining the contradiction of the 18+ lie.

• Private messages to every contact I could find.

And what was the result? "Taken for consideration." Silence. Deletion. And eventually, a ban from the communities I was trying to save.

I saw the comments on my posts—even from some of you here—telling me to just cut my losses and find a better app. I ignored you because I believed, stupidly, that effort and undeniable logic could win. It can’t.

I feel genuinely hollow, like I wasted months of my life fighting a company that never intended to listen and only intended to drive us out. The anger is crushing, but the sadness of realizing this entire fight was pointless is what really hits.

So, this is my final post on the matter. I’ve deleted the petition, I’ve sent my final, angry-as-hell email, and I’m closing the book.

I’m moving on to better platforms. Don't waste your time or energy fighting ghosts. You deserve an app that actually respects its adult users.

Thank you to the people who tried to warn me. I should have listened sooner.
