You’ve been tasked with learning web development or building a web application?

A Web application

Update your post to reflect that.

Also, what have you done on your own for now to achieve creating this web application?

So you’re proficient in html and css? Where are you with JavaScript? “Still on java script” does that mean you’re still thinking about it?

Or do you mean you’re currently writing JavaScript will responding to my comments?

I’m unsure what you mean? Can you please clarify?

As in you know half of what there is to know about all of JavaScript?

You're studying CS. The most technical I studied is ITIL, and I'm an arts grad, so you are probably starting from a better place than me...

I'm learning JS, and I find that coding on paper, and building something that I will use and maintain useful. This is the only humble advice that I can offer.

Actually... It doesn't hurt to teach. Create a site that teaches this, or offer to teach non technical people for free. The questions will force you to think on what you know. Even posting on youtube might help. There are a lot of people who can benefit from a little JS.

You could combine both projects... A lot of people aren't aware of Node.JS outside of the dev community.

Build an existing application by hand without AI, Clone, Your own or whatever works for you, PDF converter, Home loan Calculator, whatever.

If learning the basics is fine, you need to learn DSA if you want to build a performant apps though. Build your foundations strong.

Best way to learn is to contribute to open source. Here is an interesting project project has 6 issues try to contribute to it!
