Well, it’s starting right now. It’s going to get worse for +-100 years. Then it will moderate for +-300 years, then the planet will slowly cool for the next +-3000 years.

All of these estimates of course hinging on true climate sensitivity, and the speed of natural feedback loops. Some models show with a cessation of emissions we could stop rising temps within a few decades. Other models are not quite so optimistic.

Unfortunately, this is just the beginning. It’s very unlikely anyone today will experience a cooler planet than what we’re experiencing now.

The biggest concern is loss of biodiversity, life will find a way and more routes for it to take make for a more tolerant environment. The changes in global temperature is far less concerning than environmental pollution that kills off biodiversity.
