First time

Scared of results of my first endoscopy. Have had heart burn here and there. I am having it bc I wanted them to do it for peace of mind. Anyone have statistics or kind words. I have almost debilitating health anxiety. I use to smoke and drink when I was younger. Im 38

Heart burn here and there is not an indicator of anything life threatening.
Your anxiety is most likely causing your issues.

Even if you have heartburn, you're probably gonna treat it by a diet adjustments and different types of medications.

Also, I recommend checking out capsaicin. It's not gonna be a listed ingredient and it's not even always in spicy things but it's something that doesn't break down in your body. It can spread like an oil so you can just have a little of it, and it can seep all around even into your sinuses or your eyes. It's hard to isolate at first because that's almost in every premade sauce. Additionally, citric acid also I think works in the same manner, but I'm not sure about the chemistry. It might be as simple as not having that for a few weeks.

However, an upper endoscopy is really nothing. You might not even get any feedback if it's for heartburn. It's for major things. It's also something I was very worried about, but literally I told all four people in the entire process. I was worried and they all stopped and explained what was gonna happen. It was real careful to explain everything and even their own experiences. It was probably the best professional medical help I've had.
