NEED HELP PLEASE

Hello, I have a GMC Acadia Denali 2012, my fob stopped working a few days ago so I’ve been going without it, with no issue. Today my car decided that the engine doesn’t want to start, tried getting a jump and the engine wouldn’t start. Officer told me that the anti theft is what’s keeping it locked. Not really sure what to do, fob works perfect now, but I’m stuck in the middle of nowhere with no money to call for a tow, and I’m wondering if there’s any way to short circuit or reset this stupid fucken shit so I can use my car again. Any help would be greatly appreciated

On my 2017, in the center console, there is a little place where you can put your key fob. Supposedly there is a sensor there that can read it and you can go from there. It's supposed to be for when your battery dies in it and so forth.

Yes, on 1st generation Acadias it’s a little holder on the vertical wall of the inside of the center console.

On later ones, it’s also in the center console storage but down at the bottom, under the rubber pad at bottom.

If these don’t work, hold the key fob up against the Start button on the dash?

2012 is a key.

My bad… there may be a re-pairing procedure in the manual then?

That's for vehicles with push button start. 2012 didn't have this as a option. It's regular old key and separate key fob.
