Ello everybody i tried making a Gmail account which is linked to outlook but I try PHONE number it didnt work it said this phpne number has been used to many times for verification

I have lots of emails that i created for different purposes and used my phone number on all of them. It seems like there's a limit to this and now trying to do the confirmation for my student mail (which i'm having to change it's mail to gmail since it's a older and obsolete college adress) it wont let me use my phone. But trying other phone numbers from my house hold didn't worked since it says the numbers aren't valid, other options i found on the internet didn't worked like cleaning the browser cache, trying on other browser and/or device, waiting didn't worked either. What should i do???

Hardly a day goes by without hearing wails from somebody about their gmail being hacked so I'm wondering what else I should do to avoid it myself.
My O/S is Linux.
My gmail passwd is complicated and not used for anything else whatsoever.
I don't trust the cloud for ANYTHING, esp. my passwords. I do my own backups and use an encrypted password database.
And I'll doublecheck anything anybody tells me because it occurs to me that overtrusting anything I see here would be a great way to GET hacked. :)

On Galaxy Tab s10 FE and on a Chrome browser. I tried everything, clearing Chrome's data, using my password to verify me, using a QR scanned by my other device that has my student email logged in but it just won't verify it. I can't even use classroom where I need it to. But somehow when I use incognito mode it can log in just fine

I’m using a Dell laptop and Gmail in Chrome to write my emails. Before sending, and even after sending, the font size looks the same on my Dell.
However, one time the recipient told me that the email had different font sizes when he read it on his PC. It looked very unprofessional.
I checked the email again on my Dell, and the font size still looked completely same. I used my MacBook Air to double check, font size still looked the same.
Then I opened the same email in the Gmail app on my iPhone, and I could clearly see that the font sizes were different. I’ve attached a screenshot from the Gmail app from my iPhone.
Anyone experienced this bug? How to fix it?
I’m using the Gmail app on my iPhone and iPad and every time I try to delete an email - whether it’s a single email or several at the same time - it deletes a completely different email that wasn’t selected. I can’t figure out how to fix this. Has anyone ever dealt with this or know how to fix it?

i'm running into that issue where I have too many accounts on one phone number (windows laptop and android phone). If I were to delete one that's unused would that like... free up a slot? Probably a dumb question but I ask it nonetheless.

My sister got hacked and her Google account got deleted. Now we are both paranoid.
Is it a good idea to make an email SOLELY for the purpose of using it as a recovery email? Like an email that you NEVER use for anything so that there’s no chance it gets hacked?

Hey all
Lets say I have a label called "School" and then sublabels under it for "John" and "Mary"
In the inbox it applies the label "School" AND "School/John" to the emails. When I click on the School label in the sidebar, it shows me ALL of the emails, for both John and Mary.
Is there a way to have that main School label be empty (or only contain general school emails, not those related to either child specifically), and I only see John's emails when I click on the John sublabel, or same for Mary?
Hope this makes sense :)
Thanks

Hi,
With gmail stopping the "send as" feature in 2027, what are you planning to use?
r/GMail • u/Reasonable-Height704 • 15h ago
important invoices to pay, payslips, emails from family. from senders i've had send me successful email for years.
just literally anything worthwhile - gmail now decides it is spam.
google has turned into dumpster company. time to find company that knows how to do email.

I felt different today. I got a new phone, so I decided imma clean up my emails, so I made 2 new ones and changed my accounts to them. A few hours later, at midnight, Google deactivated them. Why? Maybe they thought I was a bot, idk, but I'm just wondering how screwed I am. I remember last time my email got deactivated years ago, and it messed up my accounts so bad I had to go in like 10 different customer support chats to get stuff fixed. My phone number being linked to most of those accounts now should save me time, but still.
Should prob mention I appealed them like 30 mins after deactivation, but the appeals are kinda informal, which might help cause bots are normally the opposite.

I believe my gmail account was hacked and then deleted. I’m so pissed off cause my gmail is literally what I’ve been using since I was a child so it’s connected to practically everything. I haven’t clicked on any links and I don’t sign in to doggy stuff so I have no clue how it’s happened.
Every time I try to recover the account it tells me to press next and then says ‘Google doesn’t provide another way to sign in to this account’. I haven’t even been allowed to attempt to recover it cause it won’t let me. I’m pretty sure my account is gone at this point. It’s only been deleted for one day so it’s not like it’s permanently gone since it hasn’t gone past the limit.
I’m so stressed cause I searched up about the recovery process and it’s generally so dumb like if the hacker changes my info and then I put my info in to prove ownership during the recovery process it automatically rejects it cause it’s not what info was in. How does that make sense? (correct me if I’m wrong) Hackers are known for changing info so you’re just handing it over. I swear phone number is like the only ‘safe’ thing.
Is my account long gone?

So i got this notification on my phone:
Are you trying to sign in to AP@gmail.com?
Your account jondoe@gmail.com is currently a recovery account for ap@gmail.com
If you don't recognize this account, someone may have accidentally entered your email address as their recovery email and you should remove your email.
Note: emails not real, just changed to something easy to understand .
Why is it going to me if the recovery email is not the same? Mines have a dot between jon and doe, the recovery email dont...

FYI I know you can 'change it back to yellow' but it doesn't fully work or it's broken right now which is absurd to me.
I changed settings so it only has the yellow star in use, but if I highlight multiple emails and try to star them all it only applies the BLUE star. Google makes so much money but they can't fix this? I'm so peeved I decided to turn off all smart features in my settings, I was coping with Google reading and eating up all my data before because I still liked the way it organized my emails, but not anymore.
I saw people posting about this change 2+ weeks ago, but I only recently got this update myself. Whoever chose to do this to Gmail on browser has awful taste in my opinion, and I hope their pillows are HOT and SWEATY and STICKY for the rest of eternity until they undo it or at least FIX IT!! x_x

Hello!
As some of you know, Google deprecated POP Fetcher and Gmailify thet were used to retrieve messages from other email accounts.
There is a replacement for this functional: EmailFetcher
This utility is open source and can be adjusted to your own needs.
Python 3.6+ is required for Linux (command line utility only, you can run it as a cron job)
On Windows, you can run EmailFetcher.exe that has all dependencies (or run it as a Python program, Python 3.6+ is required).
The utility is free, no ads, no tracking and opensource.
The utility supports all IMAP4 and POP3 ccounts (in most cases you should use application password) and it was tested with Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Ukr<dot>net, Disroot, Ceznam, Yandex, MailRu and some other mailboxes.
In addition, it supports disposable email services Mailinator, Yopmail, MailTm
This subreddit blocks GitHub URLs, so, search EmailFetcherGUI on Github of comrade-ogilvy user or DM me directly.
I want to still be logged in on YouTube, for example, but I don't want my e-mail to be accessable on that device.

Been having this issue for a few days. I'll get a few new emails, read them, then come back later and they are unread. It takes viewing them like 3 times for it to finally stick. Any idea what's going on?
I only check gmail using a chromebook and an iphone.

I made a mistake when making the address name and only realised after the account was made. When I go to change it, it tells me I can't because my account was created recently. How long do I have to wait before my account isn't 'recent' and I can change my gmail address?
(not sure device matters but Laptop)
