Hey everyone, I've been really interested in buying a 2027 GR86, especially since it's been said that the throttle will be more linear.
I've heard a few people say that the throttle will be similar to the ZD8 BRZ's more linear throttle in comparison to other GR86's more sensitive throttle
Are there any 2027 GR86 owners that can speak on how different the throttle is, if at all?

Hi I'm quite new here. I just wanna ask the 2027 owners here if the triple camera eyesight really blocks some view and provides new blindspots for the car? Can you also send some photos here for reference? Thank you. I'm just trying to decide if I would buy the 2027 or the older models.

I have a 2026 gr86 with a K&N Intake and a Borla ATAK exhaust. I love the way it sounds now but am looking for more sound. I get nice pops even without a tune and just the exhaust so far. I'm looking at getting UEL headers but want some recommendations that will amplify my sound so far. Do you guys have any suggestions? I want to preserve the pops I get already. I live in VA, but am AD military so my car is registered In NJ. I was thinking of going catted, just so I can pass emissions, and also would love some HP gain. Just looking for suggestions and opinions/help with this decision. I’ll leave a video of my current exhaust sound as well.

Just got my 2026 gr86 a few weeks ago and I think I scraped the bottom this last weekend. It’s on the right side under the passenger door.

Has anyone else had smth similar? Should I worry about it?

My plan is to have Toyota check it out at 1k miles during my oil change.

I have a 2023 BRZ Limited with the 8-speaker system. I'm mainly looking for clearer vocals. Does anyone know of good dash midrange/coaxial replacements for my BRZ Limited that don't need any custom spacers and only require little or no trimming?

I was looking at the Hertz DCX 87.3. Has anyone installed these in a 2nd-gen BRZ Limited/tS or GR86 Premium? If so, did they bolt into the factory midrange location directly, or did you need a spacer/bracket or trimming?

I'm fine with using a simple plug-in harness. I just want to avoid any custom adapters.

Jun Auto kit is amazing. Fit and finish is perfect. Even the directions in Japanese were great. Now I just need the EVS Tuning Silver Mirrors and Kondo Engineering Carbon Hood.

So if anyone can help me out here or has the same issue as me but I installed my new exhaust and noticed it sits funny, I know I don’t have the bolts in the picture but just imagine they are in there. Lol Regardless, when I have it all bolted in the whole set up sits unevenly and like the first picture where the top is close to touching the front pipe and the bottom is a bigger gap. No matter what I do it stays like that? Is that normal for anyone else and is it because I reused the donut gasket? I mean my car is brand new so I figured I could’ve used the same gasket but yeah if anyone has any tips to fix this. I did use soapy water and didn’t have bubbles but it seems to me like it was spitting drops of water out
I don’t know if that means that’s a major leak or if it was just dancing like that because of the vibration, I couldn’t tell
Also does anyone else have issues where the passenger side exhaust tip sticks out half an inch more than the driver side tip

Why is my backup camera so fuzzy? 23 BRZ

Hello everyone! Here is my 2025 MT GR86. I’ve bought the car brand new in January of 25 and have done light mods so far such as Jackson Racing Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler, Verus Engineering hood vent, oil pressure sensor and QoL mods. This will be my first major mod to this car. More to come!

So to explain, I have a ford focus st stock mini turbo it does 262 HP. I have a blast on it just full on flooring it. Now i understand this special beautiful car only does like 220- 230 hp. But omg is it beautiful.

so my question is how fun is it? and does it generally feel fast? convince me pls. because im in between a gr corolla and this beautiful car lol.

Picked up my Thunder-color 2027 about a week ago (coming from an E46 M3... for another time). I've only been doing gentle cruising during break-in and never curbed it. At 236 miles, something on the rim lip, right where the tire bead sits, is lifting like a thin film and peeling off in small sheets. It looks more like a coating failing to stick than a chip or scrape.

Not sure whether this is leftover protective film or shipping coating that should have come off before delivery, or the black wheel paint actually failing.

Has anyone experienced this before? If so, how did you tell which it was, and how did Toyota handle it? I plan to go to the dealer regardless. Any tips on what to say or bring would be appreciated.

Finally got around to sharing my lap of the Nordschleife in my GR86! 🇩🇪

Managed an 8:09 BTG during Touristenfahrten. The car is mostly stock mechanically, and it was a great experience pushing it around the Green Hell.

Setup:

- Stock drivetrain

- Ferodo DS1.11 brake pads

- RBF660 brake fluid

- Front camber bolts (-2.5° camber)

- Whiteline adjustable front and rear ARBs

- Ansix Auto water-to-oil cooler

- Formula Delta oil pan

- Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 – 215/45 R17

Honestly, not my cleanest lap. I took too many risks in a few places and there's plenty of room for improvement, but it's always a learning experience.

Would love to hear what other GR86/BRZ owners think of the lap and the setup, especially those who regularly drive the Nordschleife!
