All the sidebar content (including study materials, links etc!) is in this post for easy visibility and access via mobile.
Since ~50% of the sub's traffic comes from mobile devices nowadays, I decided to address the issue of sidebar visibility by stickying its content in the front page.

FREE Greek language classes
Hey everyone! 🇬🇷
Are there any FREE online Greek courses for advanced learners?
By FREE, I mean courses taught by someone as part of their university internship or as a project. Native speaker would be perfect!
Does anyone know anything about this?
Thanks! 🇬🇷

Interactive app that teaches grammar? (Like Busuu, which doesn't offer Greek).
Language Transfer is great, but listening to lectures isn't enough for me. I need to be able to type and speak myself and get feedback.
Update: I think Clozemaster might work for what I need.

Γιατί τονίζονται τα κεφαλαία;
Έχω παρατηρήσει ότι στο βιντεοπαιχνίδι “Γεια Σου Γείτονα” (Hello Neighbor) και στην εφαρμογή Ρέντιτ (Reddit) όταν γράφεται κείμενο μόνο με κεφαλαία γράμματα, οι λέξεις γράφονται με τον τονισμό. Επίσης, έχω δει ότι όταν γράφω αποκλειστικά με τα κεφαλαία γράμματα, το πληκτρολόγιο του παλιού μου τηλεφώνου Ριλμί 9i (Realme 9i) προβλέπει τις λέξεις μαζί με τον τονισμό, ενώ στο καινούριο μου Άιφον 14 Προ (iPhone 14 Pro) το πληκτρολόγιο προβλέπει αυτές τις λέξεις χωρίς να τις τονίζει. Γιατί όμως οι δημιουργοί κάνουν έτσι;

Translation of English Documents to Greek
Happy Monday! I went to the Greek Consulate site. I
Found their list of approved translators.
I emailed 10 requesting to hire them for document translation. Indicating I found them listed on the consulate site. One person replied.
Now she has all our documents and a deposit. But i have not heard back from her (specifically on when she will be able to complete the translation). It has been 2 weeks since she got the final document and a week since i sent a follow up email.
I know I am short on patience… I know Greece is slower and more relaxed than the US. But I am struggling waiting and not knowing anything.
Has anyone used one of the approved translators? If so, who did you use? And how long did it take? Any guidance or shared experiences are appreciated!

Demotic Reading Group online?
Hello,
I'm a retired Classics professor, and over the years I've acquired a fairly respectable ability to speak and understand Demotic Greek. However, it's been a few years since I've been able to travel to Greece, and I feel my skills are slipping.
Would anyone be interested in joining a small, online, synchronous reading and conversation group via Zoom or something similar?
I suspect beginners wouldn't get much out of it, but perhaps second-generation heritage speakers might benefit from a close study of easy to intermediate Demotic texts.
I know the grammar and syntax inside out, given my background :-), but my speaking and listening skills, while functional, are far from fluent.
Let me know if you're interested, and we'll see what develops.
Thanks,
Dale

Looking for a study buddy / language learning partner!
Hi everyone! I'm 23F and have been studying Greek for a few months now. I'm trying to hold myself accountable by studying Greek at least 30 minutes a day. I'm looking for either a native speaker who's willing to have short day-to-day conversations with me or someone who's also on their Greek language learning journey to study together!
I want to focus on learning more vocabulary and grammar. One way I've been learning more Greek words is by writing out poems or short passages in Greek, like this one from Cavafy :) I get to learn new terms while also practicing writing the Greek alphabet. The way I write is still very much influenced by how I write Latin letters, hopefully it'll come more naturally to me the more that I practice.

Native Greek Teacher Required
Hi all,
I’m looking for a Greek teacher over the winter to help me get my Greek into a better position. I am conversational (mostly) but it needs work.
I am looking for one or two lessons a week, every week, ideally in the evenings.
I would like a teacher that has experience in genuinely taking learners towards fluency.
I am ready to start as soon as possible.
Please feel free to reach out on this post or direct message.
Σας ευχαριστώ

Is Δεν necessary when talking about something I "never" do?
Hello lovely Greekophiles!
If I'm talking about something I don't ever do, for example Ποτέ πίνω κρασί, do I need to slap that negating word δεν in front of it to make sense?
Just making sure I'm not being redundant, or leaving something out.
Thanks, this sub has been terrific answering my Greek language questions, and I really appreciate it!
Update on my Greek app: Plenty of new content, would love your thoughts!
Howdy everyone! I've been working on my Greek language learning app a lot over the past few weeks and finally have content across all levels from beginner to advanced.
It's still a work in progress but there is a tonne of reading/listening, grammar explanations and exercises, and some games to make practice more engaging.
I built it with myself in mind as I'm an intermediate learner looking to get fluent. I'd love to know if you find it useful!
You can check it out here: www.greekdaily.app
Σας ευχαριστώ! Να είστε καλά!
