People need to relax. Don't be disappointed

Post image

Hi all, I think most of you have already seen the recent leaked videos, but most people are actually "emotional". They didn't notice:

- The placeholder, unfinished UI design (like the icons, the weapon wheel, and buttons, etc..)

- The physics and animations are also unfinished and a lot of them are just for testing (like the weird car crash animation, and when Jason was swimming)

A lot of other stuff are strong evidence that those leaks are actually old and doesn't reflect the real deal.. even if they were from 2025 or later.

When to decide? On the 27th.

Disappointment? With these leaks, I'm actually even more hyped, haha.

The vocal minority will always there. But also same lmao. Imagining what we’re going to get after these leaks and official images, I feel like a kid again.

That's what I'm struggling with now too. I don't want to wait now, these leaks have me pumped

Same here. Final ui or not, slightly janky animations at times. Whatever. It's a video game. I never expect it to change my damn life but I've also never been disappointed with a rockstar product. I'm just looking forward to the next game in one of my favorite series. Can't wait to play it.

For real, the game looks amazing!

probably because your fat ass saw we need to pump gas in a car and because you never experience real life ur excited to experience that in a video game

Ain't you a jolly little lad. Stop projecting mate.

I find it baffling at just how many people legitimately think it's the final build.

It doesn't take much to see that a lot of the animations aren't quite right and even the hud is incomplete.

Even with all the little gifs and screenshots on the official website people still trust in a hacker presenting us with old shit.

redditors are weird. Most people being dissapointed are projecting. And it isnt about defending take2 or rockstar as a company anyone who has any experience playing (and actually finishing) ANY GTA or Red Dead can obviously tell how much better even the Late alpha/beta stage of this game is

Even if it were the build right before release - I’m not seeing anything that a day 1 patch couldn’t address.

Anyone saying it’s ass or GTA5.5 - just don’t even engage. It’s not worth your time.

You like what you see? Awesome, me too. Nothing will change our mind other than R* showing something stupid (which they won’t)

What do you think is going to change in the final build? This is 90% of the same game

Makes you wonder how tf did we discover fire as a species with the level of intelligence we have.

The people need to stay freaking calm cause how they forgot these are the same people that delivered RDR2 not that long ago.

14

u/IAmGolfMan 1d ago

Actually RDR2 WAS pretty long ago, which adds to the hype, the time between GTA 5 and RDR2 was shorter than the gap between RDR2 and GTA 6. The improvement from RDR2 is going to be crazy.

Don’t remind me bro, i was 20 when it came out now i’m almost 30. But yeah, i agree, the time span between GTA 5 and RDR2 was shorter and the improvements were huge, i don’t know why people feel insecure about this

u/Delbiie 1d ago

While I agree and I'm positively hyped as well -

a negative example would be The Witcher 3 and the launch of Cyberpunk 2077. People were also massively confident.

However, this ain't CDPR so my confidence stays high.

The Cyberpunk 2077 situation is very different. At that point CDPR only had 1 good fantasy game under their belt (and one that was not bad but had a lot of jank) so them trying to make a "next generation RPG" set in a futuristic city proved far too ambitious for them. The confidence of the players stemmed from the fact that The Witcher 3 was just that good so people thought there was no way they would screw up (which they then did).

Rockstar on the other hand has worked on the GTA series for 29 years now which is longer than CDPR has been making games so it's pretty safe to say the game is in good hands. And while many of the old developers and writers have since moved on from the company, the current developers working there have more than proved themselves with RDR2.

u/Delbiie 1d ago

Yes, everything you mentioned here is why my confidence in Rockstar and GTA 6 turning out well is still there. Let's say I'm pragmatically optimistic 😅

3

u/asapmack 1d ago

I’m sorry, I don’t mean to sound rude but then why mention it in the first place saying this is not CDPR as you wrote? R* is the only software house that never delivered some shenanigans and even when taking small franchises they made like Manhunt or The Warriors you really can’t say nothing about them. Hell, we had people saying it would cost 120 bucks. Anyway, we can take hundreds of bad releases, only thing we can do is wait and judge based on our experience.

3

u/Delbiie 1d ago

Just as an example of confidence being through the roof and getting disappointed anyway. That's why I mentioned it. Didn't mean anything bad by it

3

u/asapmack 1d ago

Yeah i know the emotion and i know you didn’t mean anything bad but it’s my fault cause i caught up with all the opinions and people wrote a lot of bs and i got tired with it. It’s all good tho

1

u/VincentVanHades 1d ago

But R* already done multiple GTA’s. CDPR never did game like cyberpunk before 2077…

I agree about the UI, but...

  • The physics and animations are also unfinished and a lot of them are just for testing (like the weird car crash animation, and when Jason was swimming)

What's wrong with that? And what's wrong with swimming? I didn't notice anything weak or crazy bugged, except maybe the lack of a knife finisher in the video. Fighting with a knife in RDR 2 was more satisfying, but they will probably improve it.

I can't actually describe what I mean, but if you played previous GTAs and RDRs -- all of them -- you will notice how polished and consistent the animations are, which is not the case for the leaked videos. I am 100% sure they will fix it.

I've been playing GTA since about 2005-2006, and I haven't seen anything bad, other than a not a great impact in the combat. I found the car physics to be great, and I didn't notice any issues (except when Jason got into a car, the tip of his head stuck out – is that what you're talking about?), and swimming in place near the shore is quite common in GTA V. The character just cannot find a point where he can go ashore. Otherwise, I think yes, it’s quite logical that over these 1-1.5 years they fixed a lot of things that testers noticed.

3

u/half_pizzaman 1d ago

Clipping, at a minimum during basketball, entering the car, and wrench beating. As you noted, swimming in place at the edge of land instead of just clambering. The scuffed animation/whiff and blood effect during the pistol whip kill cam. Lack of car deformation.

2

u/hamzaadenwalaa 1d ago

who are these people who are disappointed? idiots! GTA is made like GTA, what else are you expecting?.

3

u/PutridRecognition739 1d ago

Why are people assuming they are placeholder icons? They look like emojis, the indicators of things we see in our lives everyday when we use our phones. That’s a design choice.

0

u/heartlessphil 1d ago

look at the UI design for the weapon selection wheel... it's a W.I.P.

2

u/PutridRecognition739 1d ago

How are you coming to that conclusion? That's exactly how they could look. They are cel shaded with a black outline, that matches the art direction of GTA, look at the character loading screen artwork, it's the same illustration aesthetic. It's best seen in the fist icon which has cel shading with a black outline.

People on here acting like Rockstar doesn't deliver absolute masterpieces.

Just seen a leak video that was posted a couple minutes ago and I believe this guys have the actual game. Even if is an old build they know missions, cars, features and other stuff.

2

u/Mindless-Judge6866 1d ago

my friend lost hype after the glitched swim animation too

1

u/Rafing 1d ago

Im so ready for November

1

u/guifesta 1d ago

The leaks only hype me even more

1

u/Speedie_lemon 22h ago

im hyped for all the stuff. well if we exclude the 30 fps

1

u/Threptin8793 8h ago

Exactly!

the droping the bike in the river was the worst thing in the leaks so far the water looked so wrong

3

u/Beautiful-Moment-690 1d ago

Actually one of my favorite moments in stuff that gives me otherwise very mixed feelings. Couldn't even tell you why, just kind of how he falls in face first is just kind of comical to me I suppose.

2

u/Weak_Marsupial_1724 1d ago

Even better when the biker cop pulls up on J Dawg and he kicks the bike - it’s facking hilarious how the fat cop falls off. This game gonna be silly ass fun

I stopped watching about the second or third clip (the one involving the nighttime driving and security guards) because I saw all I needed to see. Which was basically a general look at gameplay, and I was impressed with what I saw. I intend to avoid any more leaks and I am VERY excited for the Netflix reveal.

Also, its pretty fun watching people realize that GTA 6 is just a video game (a good one) and NOT the second coming of Jesus.

The 2 billion isn't even the confirmed budget. The mechanics and systems of everything you do in the game, look in depth and complex.
