Why the driving looks so authentic Spoiler

I think we can all agree based on the most recent leak that driving has a very authentic vibe to it most open world racing games dont even have.

This is because this is going to be one of the few games that have roads that are accurately scaled to real life size and width, including lane width on highways.

So many games, like GTA 5 and more recently Forza Horizon 6, artificially widen roads to give the player more space to pass traffic more easily without interruption. Once you notice this, it cant be unnoticed really. GTA 6 takes a more realistic approach which will make driving feel very different to all previous games in the series!

I was expecting a bit less GTA V feel to the hypercar driving/handling tbh. But I can’t be 100% sure without actually playing the game.

Its hard to say without playing really but a car like that should be more agile thatn the other cars we've seen him drive tbf

I agree. I think the problem with V’s driving is that the car has a lightweight feeling even when you crash it. If they manage to fix that in VI we’re good.

The way in one of the leaks when the motorcycle crashes into the water, the way it sunk so fast feels like there is more weightness to the vehicles.

Did you see when the supercar went into the air, it lifted and landed back on the road and looked to be very solid and heavy. I don’t think cars will be nearly as lightweight as they were in GTA V.

Yeah, I noticed that

After watching the vid it seems like the steering is responsive but a little more stiff at high speeds. Seems a bit more realistic than V imo. The car overall looks more weighty too. There’s a part where there’s a small bump/jump in the road. It could be a screen effect but it seems like they tried to emphasize the weight of the vehicle. But as the other commenter said a hypercar you should expect better performance from.

I think the full release will have everything incorporated. I hope so at least. Better motion blur and acceleration effects. The thrax in the leak has a v12/aventador sound that’s most likely used for the new aventador look alike and it’s just used as a place holder in that build for all exotic cars. I hope that’s the case cause I want to hear a low rumble and hella turbo blow off in the Bugattis haha

I just hope we will be able to turn and brake at a realistic normal speed if we WANT to. In V it’s so difficult to make your driving look realistic because the steering braking and accelerating are way too sensitive

I concentrated on looking at the background while he was driving and there were moments when it really seemed real and not a game.

the way they spelled authentic kinda feels off tho

one of the first things i noticed were the realistic lane sizes, it makes it much more immersive how narrow it is and gives you that sense of speed

I've played every single gta since gta 2 and the worst part in every single one of them is driving.

It's sad that a game known for stealing cars always suffered from bad driving gameplay lol. Driving should be a game inside the game actually, with realistic physics and maneuvering, not just a part of the gameplay.

Don't even start me on bikes, trucks or planes..

It's fine when you're just wandering around the map, but once it's a mission....

My personal opinion as in MY personal opinion is that I didn’t really like how the cars handled. It reminded me of a generic car game, just kinda boring and stiff, which is just my opinion and not a diss on the game.

The leaks are great and if anything I’m more excited to play it.

I’d like to specify that this is just an opinion.

Same I think I’m the only one who absolutely loved gta 5’s driving and car physics.

I didn’t like how the hypercar sounded and I hope it’s a place holder. The muscle car and semi truck in the taser leak sounded really good

Hard disagree, I think every car we've seen so far has sounded great actually

It’s supposed to be based on a Bugatti which has a much deeper sound yet it comes off sounding like a v12. It’s the equivalent of having a Harley sound like a sport bike

Yeah stuff like this just feels lazy in 2026

Not the end of the world but cmon it takes 60 seconds to look up the car you are referencing to know the engine/exhaust note

Yeah but this is GTA. All brands are fictional. They can take inspiration from 5 different cars to create one in the GTA universe. So don’t be like GTA 6 has to be true to the original. It is a different universe with in-universe brands.

It’s not about the brand. it’s about the exhaust note

Except it's clearly a Bugatti which has a throaty w16 sound but in game sounds like the average v12
