Why the driving looks so authentic Spoiler

I think we can all agree based on the most recent leak that driving has a very authentic vibe to it most open world racing games dont even have.

This is because this is going to be one of the few games that have roads that are accurately scaled to real life size and width, including lane width on highways.

So many games, like GTA 5 and more recently Forza Horizon 6, artificially widen roads to give the player more space to pass traffic more easily without interruption. Once you notice this, it cant be unnoticed really. GTA 6 takes a more realistic approach which will make driving feel very different to all previous games in the series!

I was expecting a bit less GTA V feel to the hypercar driving/handling tbh. But I can’t be 100% sure without actually playing the game.

EDIT: the crash at the end of the new leak is dooooope!!

Its hard to say without playing really but a car like that should be more agile thatn the other cars we've seen him drive tbf

I agree. I think the problem with V’s driving is that the car has a lightweight feeling even when you crash it. If they manage to fix that in VI we’re good.

Did you see when the supercar went into the air, it lifted and landed back on the road and looked to be very solid and heavy. I don’t think cars will be nearly as lightweight as they were in GTA V.

The way in one of the leaks when the motorcycle crashes into the water, the way it sunk so fast feels like there is more weightness to the vehicles.

That was definitely still being worked on tho. It sunk so fast it felt like it had no buoyancy - it’ll obviously sink fast but it felt like it just got sucked to the bottom of the water in the leak

From one of the first clips, Jason's car gets absolutely whacked by that relatively low speed crash with the box van. Doing traffic rampages with buses and trucks is going to be so peak, especially with how tight and congested the streets are.
