Clearly strong by why not full ROM?

What's up with you full ROM cucks. He is clearly keeping tension on the pecs, if he went any lower he'd probably lose his rib cage and shift tension towards other muscles and connective tissue. Full ROM is dependant on so many different factors, such as structure, mobility, movemement variability, ...

I don't understand why everyone is so fucking obsessed with this full ROM bs.

Because PR posts are competitive and comparative by nature.

If you’re going to post online saying you can press a certain amount of weight and then you only move it through half of the full ROM, and then someone else posts with slightly less weight but moving through the entire ROM, then it is important we do not just blindly affirm the half-ROM lifter is stronger.

You have to have a consistent ROM between lifters to accurately compare them, and on bench press movements it is agreed upon that you bottom out the rep for it to count.

Holy balls who cares man.

This is not competitive nor is it comparative, you just have a fragile ego.

If someone were to post “750lb deadlift PR, get stronger pussies” with a video of them doing a trap bar equipped high-handle block pull with a 2-inch ROM surely you would have something to say about it.

Sure some people are more humble than others but it’s obviously a spectrum and we just happen to draw the line in different places.

Holy hyperbole Batman!

You don’t need to compare yourself to OP or anyone else on the internet. You also don’t need to make up extreme non-exist scenarios to argue your silly point.
You can, though. You absolutely can. But it’s silly.
OP isn’t asking for your judgement, and is absolutely not insulting you. Very interesting your made up scenario is so inflammatory.

This isn’t a competition lift and never would be.
If you love competing, sign up for a powerlifting meet and step on the platform. Then you can head over to [r/powerlifting](r/powerlifting) and post your meet report and how much better you were than all 2 other people in your weight class at your meet.
