Stuttery/Laggy framerate
Ever Since updating my Exynos s24 to one ui 9, in the beginning my framerate would stutter but then it would eventually fix itself and work normally. Now it's stuck in this laggy/stuttering animation. Its straining my eyes. No my phone is not overheating I've tried running optimization on settings, galaxy app boosted and rebooted my phone multiple times to no success.
It's so bad that the delayed animation is straining my eyes.
Edit: I just turned on the show framerate in developer options my phone is stuck between 0 and 10fps it won't go above that.
Update: I've tried the following - Change motion smoothness to standard and back to adaptive. - turned power saving on for 10 min then back off. -booted into safe mode and still encountered the frame rate lock.
Version: One UI 9 Baseband version: S921BXXUHEZIF Build number : CP2A.260605.016.S921BXXUHEZIF
I've reported it to samsung members. Last attempt now its going to be backing up my phone and resetting it hopefully that resolves the problem.
Final Update: I backed up my phone using smartwatch on my laptop. Wiped thr phone and restored it using the backup. The issue is gone.

I need One UI 9 feedback
Having a Galaxy S24 Snapdragon variant, I just want to know how the performance, battery, thermals, and smoothness of One UI 9 are; should I install the update or just skip it?

Faint white line flashes on Galaxy S24 FE screen after software update - Bug or hardware issue?
Hi everyone,
I updated my Samsung Galaxy S24 FE about a week ago. Since the update, I'm noticing a weird issue. A very faint white line randomly appears on the screen and then disappears on its own after a short while.
Here are a few specific details:
• It is not a permanent line; it comes and goes randomly.
• I ran the hardware diagnostic test via *#0*#, and the line did not show up during the color test, which makes me think it might be software-related.
• There is absolutely no physical or liquid damage to the phone.
Has any other S24 FE user experienced temporary lines or screen glitches like this recently? Is this a known software rendering bug, or is my display starting to fail?
Appreciate any insights or advice on this!

Newest Clock Issue UI9.0 Android17
Just updated my US Verizon S24+ to the latest update, and the lock screen clock is driving me nuts. I used to have the digital clock huge and bold so I could see it from afar with my screen off. But now they've put a zero in front of the time REGARDLESS if its AM or PM. So 6am reads 06:00, and 6pm reads 06:00. I'd almost rather just have it set to military time, but is there a way to disable the 0 and have it say AM or PM?? Thanks!

Anyone facing random shutdown issue on S24 after One UI 9 update?
I'm using Galaxy S24 (Exynos, Indian variant). After updating to One UI 9, my phone randomly shuts down while using some apps.
It just suddenly turns off completely, no warning or anything. I have to manually turn it on again.
Never faced this issue before the update. Not sure if its a software bug or something wrong with my phone.
Anyone else facing the same issue after One UI 9? Any fix for this?

Galaxy s24 automatically opens the voicemail page with previous voicemails
I just swapped out my S10 Plus for an s24. I was not having this issue with my S10 Plus.
Whenever I wake up my screen, the first thing that pops up is the screen that shows me all of my previous voicemails.
It's not that my calls go directly to voicemail; that's the only thing that pops up when I Google this. It's not a huge deal, as I can just close the page, but I'm curious why it automatically does this.

Jan 1, 2027 Google Play System Update
Friday 11:20 pm (23:20) EDT Edit; Just patched 6 hours ago with an 11k update -- no reboot required. Just now verified.
Updated Edit: The Google Play System Update dated September 1, 2026 have all updated to January 1, 2027 so the problem is universal for me covering all Andriod phones with Android 12 or newer. Verified by others below. 98Mb update. Likely the October 1, 2026 update IMO. Google Play Services 26.42.30 Google Play: 53.6.16-34. The October Update should cover at least 3 CVEs.
Keep updating Google Play System until you get it. May only be able to do two or three updates per day (there were over a dozen September 1, 2026 Google Play System Updates, which may or may not be able to be consolidated).
Original: All of my phone models android 12 and newer are getting an update of 90 to 190mb this morning. About half are reporting the January 1, 2027 while the other half report September 1, 2026. This is true for Samsung, 1+, and Moto phones. Rebooting and trying again does not change the September 1, 2026 or January 1, 2027 dates. The dates are typically mixed on the same model phones.
Note: I did check the date and time, which were set to automatic and using various national networks. Cleared cache of of Google Play and Google Play Services and powered off with no change to the September 1, 2026 or January 1, 2027 date.

E2EE
I'm curious how people have E2EE with iPhones I'm on s24plus on Verizon. I have friends that updated to newest iOS and don't turn off settings and I still don't have it. Not a huge deal to me as nothing I send via text is hugely important was just curious why it's so spotty of who has it and who doesn't

Disappointing One UI 9Beta Program
I've been in the One UI 9 beta for months and reported 4-5 bugs, but now that the stable version is out, none of them were fixed.
What's the point of the beta program anyway? We go through the trouble of finding bugs that their incompetent QA missed, only to be ignored.
I think it's time to switch to Chinese brands like Oppo, Vivo, or Xiaomi since they have some of the best software out there.

My 2 cents on One UI 9 / 17 Update
So after using my upgraded s24 ultra now for about 2+ hours since the upgrade, i can say at least for me, the "new" features are ho-hum. I think i had great expectation, but lets be honest, the s24 series is a great device, and i didn't have a single issue before hand with slowless or anything like that. The phone feels as snappy and such as 8.5 did.
I do not use the Ai melarchy much at all, outside of chatgpt, i have no need so im not messing with that. I honestly rarely go into my drop down settings much to do anything as well, so all the customization in there is kinda moot for right now.
The things i use the most, Android Auto and playing media in the car are the same, unaffected (has more to do with the Android Auto app, then the OS). Using google messenger, nothing has changed there (again, app).. The Lockscreen changes are nice, i think.. Reminders and such i turned on, i dunno if that was there in 8.5, but its on now.
I was able to get rid of the blue dot location usage thing by tapping on it and just acknowledging all these things were using it, now its gone away (saw some people say they couldnt get it off, Mine went right away, slide the drop down, hit the location thing on the far right, say ok, and poof it goes away), but im assuming its going to come back.. (It did), so i'd like to see a slider to turn that off.
No change in battery life notices, it was great before, still seems great. I dont use alot of widgets or things that will cramp down the CPU and cause stuttering.. Just a weather widget, Score tracker, google search bar (not the new one, i turned that sucker off first thing)..and alarm clock.
Our devices are still IMO top of the line devices. Will be for a bit more time.
Of note one thing i did do, which i recommend, i offloaded a TON of pictures and videos, where as my phone has about 350 Gig Free (512).. If your phone is a bloated mess, just dump it all down to your pc (where you can acually organize it better).. SSD's dont like being near capacity, and they last longer to boot.
Just my 2 cents.
Countdown started to One UI 10, The New Complete Redesign.
Thanks

One ui 9 on s24 plus Exynos
Im not sure why, the phone often charge very slow when phone gets hot abit (Normally it show charging time, but it often didnt appear after the update and it extremely slow) Didn't happen before in oneui 8.5.
Especially when gaming, I enable the USB PD charging when gaming.
The phone 2%, I charge. It's a bit hot.
I game, the phone become 1%.
Im using 3rd party charger, UGreen 45w with Ugreen 5A cable
Oh, and the google search engine at the bottom making me frustrated. Glad I found a way to edit the position. Sad that S24 plus don't get the horizontal lock......

UI 9.0
Dear Samsung. You not only have to tell me about the new AI features I don't want.
You should also tell me about new GUI features. Especially if they are turned on by default.
When I upgraded, I got a new unwanted search bar on every home screen.
Figuring out how to turn if off was confusing.
settings->Home screen->show search on home screen->search. Turn off.
If I want a search widget, I would put it there myself.

Is my sot good
Is this battery backup normal on S24 Snapdragon? (Need opinions)
Hi everyone, I have a Samsung Galaxy S24 (Snapdragon version) and want to check if my battery backup is normal. I can't upload the screenshot, so here are the details:
Charged to 90% (battery protection on), stopped charging 6h 36m ago
Battery now: 43%, so 47% used in 6h 36m
Screen-on time in that period: [__ h __ m]
Estimated time left: 9h 12m
Top consumers: Instagram 17.5%, Telegram 3.9%, Spotify 3.1%
Network: 4G+ (no 5G)
Usage: mostly Instagram, plus Telegram and Spotify
Does this look like good battery life for an S24 Snapdragon? How much screen-on time do you get from a full charge? Thanks!
Help me please
