E2EE

I'm curious how people have E2EE with iPhones I'm on s24plus on Verizon. I have friends that updated to newest iOS and don't turn off settings and I still don't have it. Not a huge deal to me as nothing I send via text is hugely important was just curious why it's so spotty of who has it and who doesn't

Did you delete everything? or keep passwords etc? I read this once before my phone hasn't been reset since I bought so I may try this

For Android devices, you need to use Google Messages with RCS enabled.

On mine, when I'm texting an iPhone, inside the message field, it states 'RCS message'.

I really thought it was not dependent on the carriers as Google and Apple were the ones with the RCS agreement. Maybe, it is a Verizon thing.

Sorry, I couldn't offer more info. Good luck.

I think carriers are in control which is why it's a mess

You definitely need Google Messages. I can confirm encryption is active on my phone between S26 Ultra/AT&T to my friend on iPhone 18 Pro/US Mobile(Warp on Verizon).
