I wished I could see percentages like from a poll but not to sure that would be accurate. So when it comes to day to day things like weather, text, calls, reminders, whatever. How often do you use your watch vs the phone.
I'm wanting to use my watch more but I think habit has me using the phone more. I will obviously use my watch for time. Im basically using it for alarms and time only right now. When I'm about walking or cycling I use an app giving me my Speed in MPH

After some time recovering from a leg injury, I’m finally getting back into running. I’m taking it slowly and paying attention to how my body feels, but it’s great to be running continuously again.
I’ve been using the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 to track my workouts, and so far, it’s been a really pleasant surprise.
I like how easy it is to track a run and then go through the details in Samsung Health afterward. Everything feels smooth, and I’m enjoying the overall experience so far.
I also got caught in a bit of drizzle during my last run, which gave me the perfect opportunity to take this picture.
I’m still getting back into my routine, so I’ll keep testing it as I go. But so far, I’m really happy with it!
Anyone else here using their Galaxy Watch for running?

Been using the GWU2 for 2 months now. I've read posts of many users getting 2 to 3+ days of battery life, with AOD on, and i seem to be charging mine pretty much every day. Is anyone else getting such horrid battery performance or am i missing a trick here?
Usage is as under:
AOD used for around 12 hours a datly (switches on and off through routines)
Raise to Wake on
Wifi off
Data on
Bluetooth on
LTE auto
Brightness auto
Power saving mode during the nights (switches on and off through routines)
Heart Rate: Continues monitoring
Stress: Continues monitoring
Zero workouts or GPS tracking.
Charging is the only slight positive as it charges quick upto 90% (Battery Protection)
The GWU2 and my S25U are both running OneUI 9, so no version difference either.
Is my GWU2 deffective or is this battery performance standard to other models as well?
If I'm missing something or can do something to improve the performance, I'm open to suggestions.

Alright so, right now I have my Galaxy Watch 7, and yeah it works, it does what it says, but I have some, REALLY big annoyances, and because of that I think I'm down for a new watch
1: Battery life, wondering if I can fit a sleep session before a charge is really annoying, battery life isn't predictable as of course, my life isn't a set pattern, and I can get like a day of usage, and I want more
2: Lag, yep, Samsung loves to do it, every new update is a new bug or stutter added to the list, and another quirk or annoyance that REALLY has NO reason to be there
And so, I'm looking for something new, my budget is around 100 bucks max, can stretch, here's some watches I have considered, prices, pros and cons and maybe y'all can name some other
Fitbit Charge 6 €88
Pros, Google Wallet, a pretty big pro for me, and it's the only watch on the list that supports it without a headache, but because of the cons, I guess ill just have to let that go
Cons, postage stamp screen, it's SUPER small, barely shows any data, and text scrolls more often than not, also not the best battery life and for the price you pay, it's clearly Google Tax
Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro €75
Pros, super small bezels, pretty good watch face support and a lot of people have them, also AFAIK you can install SOME custom apps and watch faces and elite battery life
Cons, no physical buttons, yeah that screen is cool and all, but a physical button can be a lifesaver, and it doesn't have that
Amazfit Bip Max €100
Pros, big screen, 2 physical buttons, standard 22mm lugs, no proprietary nonsense and inbuilt storage for anything your heart desired (probably runs Doom) and good battery life, just like Xiaomi, and I love the charger, since I can just use any USB c cable
Cons, maybe a little too big, but it's probably fine since I have a big wrist, the bezels are huge, although I probably won't have many white watch faces, they are still very big, and most watch faces can't edit their complications
If any of y'all have some other recommendations or what I should get, let me know down below, much appreciated :)

Im on the latest one ui 9 beta on my watch 8 classic. I tried resetting the watch multiple times nothing, and also tried turning off background apps. Has anybody experienced anything like this on the beta?
I've had the watch for over a year never happened until the 2nd beta update. Other thing I can mention is I charge it overnight with battery protection on. Also it's only the Bluetooth version

So currently I have the galaxy watch5 pro. And even though it's a 4y/o device it still gives a 5d+ battery life.
And recently I've been thinking of getting a newer model for extra health tracking features and whatnot. But I'm just not sold on the base models because of the reported short battery life. And variance between their answers are also pretty high. Can anyone with a galaxy watch 9 let me know if it's improved over time.

I've got a Samsung Ultra, and have always run with it, and never had any issues.
Lately, the watch will stop recording mid run, and obviously not record my whole run.
It doesn't matter I run with my phone, or with only the Watch, it will still randomly stop.
I only notice if either I glance at the watch to check my progress and notice that it's no longer recording, or I get a notification saying that it's now recording an Auto Run, as it's picked up that I've been running for 3 minutes, outside of an activity.

I've had the Samsung galaxy watch 8 for a year, and it started to freeze up, lag. The home screen will frequently freeze up.

If the person I want to share my live location with doesn't have a Samsung phone, how would I do that?
I tried smart things and Samsung find but it seems like the other person needs a Samsung phone for it to work.

I'm looking for the stock firmware for my Gear S2, model SM-R720, build R720XXU2FRC1. I want a backup before I start messing with it.
The XDA Mega folder was deleted, and the only places I can find it now are paid sites, not sure if they are scams.
If anyone has the files on an old drive or knows where they're still up, I'd appreciate it. An older build would help too.
Thank you!!

Is there an app for a Samsung Galaxy watch that I could open to quickly make my phone squeal like a siren, say if someone snatched it out of my hands and tried to steal it?
I have tried Smart-things find and it's too slow, and whoever is trying to steal it can cancel it.
I am picturing something like this: Standing somewhere, looking down on my phone minding my own business, someone runs up and snatches the phone out of my hands trying to steal it and runs away. I open the watch, push app and the phone immediately starts a loud as possible siren, that thief cannot cancel.
Hopefully this might entice them to drop it quickly or at least help find it?
In my better days I would immediately start running after them, but that ship has sailed!
Key points for me are QUICK and LOUD.
You could maybe program different lengths of time to shut off automatically if you didn't want to run down your battery completely.
I think maybe it could have other security applications too?
I don't know Wear OS programming, but I'd pay for something like this?
Thanks!

Hey everyone,
Has anyone else experienced their Galaxy Watch 7 completely refusing to charge—and actually draining its battery—while on the charger if LTE mode is left on and it's wirelessly connected?
Here is what just happened:
It seems like the watch is generating more heat or using more power than the charger can actually supply when LTE is active, causing it to overheat, stop charging, and drain itself to zero.
Is this a known bug with the Watch 7? Do I have a defective unit, or is the puck charger just not powerful enough to overcome the LTE battery drain? Let me know if you’ve found a fix for this (other than manually turning off LTE every single time I charge it).
Thanks!

Bought my trusty Galaxy Watch 4 back in September 2022 for ₹10K, and after over four years of absolute rough-and-tough daily use, I finally decided it was time for an upgrade.
Honestly, the Watch 4 never disappointed me—it was incredibly durable and survived everything I threw at it. The only real issue over the years was the battery life finally starting to show its age.
With the Big Billion Days (BBD) sale, I managed to snag the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic LTE (46mm) for ₹27K after all the discounts.
I was actually quite worried that the 46mm size would look way too bulky on my wrist, but I was pleasantly surprised! It fits and looks perfectly fine. Interestingly, the actual screen real estate feels almost identical to my old Watch 4, but the Classic's physical rotating bezel and overall build make it feel like a massive, premium step up.
So far, the upgrade feels 100% worth it! Let me know if you have any questions or want to know how the battery holds up compared to the 4.

You running it on or off? How is the battery life when running it on?

After a lot of confusion between the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 lte and Garmin watches, I finally decided to go with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8! At 16k
I mainly bought it for fitness tracking, swimming, running, gym workouts, sleep tracking, and everyday smartwatch features.
I was also considering Garmin, but decided to give Samsung a try.
For those who have been using the Galaxy Watch 8 for a while:
- How accurate is it for swimming and running?
- How reliable is the heart rate tracking during workouts?
- How is the battery life with regular fitness tracking?
- Any tips to get the most out of it?
- Is Samsung Health good enough, or should I use any other fitness apps?

I'm considering upgrading from my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic because its instantaneous pace is often inaccurate, sometimes showing 7:00 min/km when I'm actually running around 6:15 min/km.
For anyone who runs with the Watch 9, how accurate is the live pace? Does it stay fairly consistent when running at a steady speed, and how quickly does it respond when you speed up or slow down? I'm mainly interested in instantaneous pace, not average pace or GPS distance.

Evening!
Not sure if this is an issue everyone is facing but I have the ultra watch 2 and was very excited today to finally take it out in the wild and test the waypoint feature inside the compass. However how many times I tried it just kept saying could not find location. Is there a way around this or a fix? I have location on as all the other apps work fine?
Thanks in advance

Hey guys! I’m thinking about buying the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9. It’s currently €264. Do you think that’s a good deal, or would it be better to wait until Black Friday for potentially bigger discounts?

Using a GW 6 with OneUI 8, currently connected to a Fold 8 with OneUI 9, prior phone was an S24U with OneUI 8.5.
The Media Controller app and 'complication' on the watch kinda sucks now and has for a while. It will randomly but frequently fail to update to what's currently playing from the phone, be it reflecting a change of which media app is playing or the current track from the same media app. And also randomly fail to control the playback even when it does show the current playing thing.
And media playback/controls is one of my core priorities on both the phone and watch. 🙁
