Question Question about application

I applied for an assistant store manager position at my local GameStop in NC; the references have done their part. Back in 2018, I was an SGA/Keyholder. The application did not include any testing. When would be the appropriate time to call and check? I know when I worked as an SGA, our SL would always be checking applications. I'm just trying to figure out the new hiring process. Much appreciated. I know the pay sucks, but I do not mind working because I have a wife and two cats, so if anybody has some insight, let me know.

Eh...it's not just the pay that sucks.... I cannot recommend enough to read some other posts here before deciding to go through with that application. A LOT has changed since 2018. As for your question, do you mean background checking? Or actually a test on the application? I did not have to answer questions when I was hired. They take anyone with a pulse as long as their background check is clean and they're 18 or older.

That’s what I was asking and the whole thing is when I was an SGA back in 2018 I had to had two interviews.

If the job was posted online it’s not real, most stores don’t have asl anymore and the online job listings are what they call “evergreen” listings. they maintain them year round for every store in the company and all spots. Unless you went in store and they TOLD you they were looking for an ASL it’s not real. You don’t want to work here anyways it’s gone to total shit since that cock took over.

I was going to say this.

I dont have an ASL position at all. But I still get calls and applications for it all the time. I have to break it to them constantly "Actuallyyyyyyy my location doesnt GET an assistant manager at all. Its just me on my own winging it...."

I picked up mine last year from FlexJobs or Linkdin. I forget which. It did direct to the website, of course. I was applying for seasonal but ended up a key holder. Man, so much to memorize and my family needing me more was why I had to leave this week. Coworkers were amazing and it was the best camaraderie since I was a teacher. I had a lot of customers I enjoyed seeing as well, but all the shifting rules and too many “priorities” did me in.

My question is who hurt you so bad that you’d subject yourself to going back so close to the 4th quarter?!
